3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aged for quite awhile, but who knows for how long. Big malt aroma, with grapefruit hops battling their way throught to what winds up being a nose that is exceptionally balanced. Appears a hazy amber color with a large, creamy, off-white head that dissipates but leaves lacing. Flavor of nuts, toffee, and buttery malt, with a powerful punch of grapefruit over the top, and with a lingering underlying flavor of more floral hops. Palate is thick and syrupy, but in a style-appropriate manner. Overall, I believe that I have over-aged this one, and I look forward to giving it a re-rate.

2.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Aroma is nice: orange, lemon, grapefruit, grasses.
Appearance: dark yellow orange. Above avg. White head.
Taste: lots of pine. Offensive. Grass, hops. Fruit in the aroma is blocked by the overly strong grassy/woody character.
An unfortunate product of the IPA craze.

3.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A decent brew. A light citrus/spruce scent is detected. Very heavy malt flavor with an extra healthy dose of hops. A nice dry finish after each sip. I would recommend this for someone to try at least once.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Orange, très légèrement trouble. Mousse blanc cassé relativement persistante. Gros lacings.
Aromatique sur l’houblon pin et agrumes-citron. Maltage bien présent caramel. Alcool accompagne bien.
En bouche bonne balance sucré-amertume. Longueur convenable. . Bon corps. Fin légèrement alcoolique sans sensation de chaleur, fruitée sur l’ananas je dirais.
Bonne IPA, mais l’aromatique de l’houblonnage plus tellement présente je pense...

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home while visiting Florida. Pours Amber with an off white head. Caramel trop fruit aroma. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. Pine, caramel, boozy heat, grapefruit, lemon... Too sticky sweet and a bit too boozy for me. A little harsh. It's OK.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewery. Burnt orange and pretty clear appearance with a lingering white head. Resinous, piney, citrus zest, tropical fruits and lightly boozy. The first whiff and sip were the most pleasant. Hard to believe I never rated this one.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: FEB 15, 2015 This 12 oz bottle is less than a month old, pours a dark copper, clear if poured off the yeast floaties. Nose is nicely hoppy, refined, orange fruit, grassy pine, bready, toast, sweetness, light buttery caramel/toffee floral. Its a bit overly yeasty in aroma at times. Has a burning hop or alcohol sting so you know its going to be big. Taste is a solid double ipa, has a good hop bite of a grapefruit maybe pine. Slick malts, caramel, buttery toffee toasty ,some astringent or acididty like a roast. Bitter sweet, pretty solid, although Im not a fan of this size double ipa mostly, I do think its one of the better ones or above average for one. Not sure how I fell overall about its flavor profile or hop choices. Maybe too malty just because its a 10%
