3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a clear dark copper, with a finger of rich light tan head. This retains with a smooth creamy layer that leaves a nicely laced glass.
The rye shares equal billing with the malts in the aroma. A touch of spice and bread back them up. It’s a pleasant aroma, but subdued.
The taste is mosty sweet on the tongue, with a mix of bread, toffee, and light fruit. Some balancing earthy hops mix with the spiciness of the rye to finish this with a satisfying dry ending.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a slightly astringent creaminess. There is just enough of a light sharpness to the carbonation to keep this crisp in the mouth.
I don’t have a lot of experience with this style, so I can’t comment on it’s general quality. It is a very tasty brew. Refreshing and complex at the same time. A nice beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
*******Pours a clear amber with small head and no lacing. Tastes of caramel malt with some rye. Herbal hop flavor. Sweet taste initially that is mild, then turns moderately bitter throughout the rest. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Chewy. Almost comes off more of a scotch ale. Long, medium bitter finish. Not bad, but great divide does some others much better.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice thick white head in a golden red highly carbonated beer.
Spicy and floral, a nice fresh malt and hop aroma.
Light, spicy and sweet, Thai food in a glass. Mellow fruits, pineapple and watermelon, mixed with nice spicy hops.
The finish is crisp and the light malt gives the beer a slightly spicy bitter finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours an amber color with a transient light cream foam and excellent clarity; no lace. Smells of honey, munich malts and some tea like character. Nice nose. Flavor follows with some sweet honey malts and a little bit of tea like character from hops/malts. Body is a little heavy (expected from addition of Rye) with light carb and a semi dry finish. Nice beer, would drink on a pint special.
