LASSO is the new frontier of India Pale Ale. Brewed with a robust roundup of Columbus, Centennial and Cascade hops, its sessionable simplicity proves bigger isn’t always better. But make no mistake – the Wild West hasn’t gone mild. That same untamed IPA spirit thrives, and we reckon this’ll go down mighty fine.

2014/09/17 - Pours a hazy orange-amber colour with a soapy, off white head that quickly vanishes. Minimal. Aroma is apple, cereal grain, citrus and mild pine. Taste is earthy/vegetable hops, mild apple, grapefruit, biscuit, cereal grain and pine. Mouthfeel is thin with average carbonation and a slightly sweet, mildly bitter, long drying finish. Ok, but nothing special . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy amber color, small color. Moderate cereal character, dry, fairly hoppy and bitter.
Nice but too much cereal character.

12 oz. bottle, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is quite muted, with piney hops, vegetal notes, and a slight biscuity malt backing. Flavour is bland, with notes of dry, astringent hops, with a very thin dry malt backing. Not very interesting here, but nothing off-flavoured at least. Decent, but unexciting.

Bottle at Oliver Twist Stockholm, april 19th 2014.  Clear amber body with a small white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, biscuit, light grassy notes. Nice bitter taste with exotic fruity hops, pine. Thin body, high drinkability.

Bottle at home while visiting Seattle. Pours gold with a white head. Caramel, orange sponge cake aroma... Light body, medium carbonation. Grassy, lemon, light tangerine, light pine, a hint of wood... A bit thin too. OK.

Crystal Clear golden pour with faint ring of clearish head. Citrusy nose and sweet floral hop flavor. Honey and grassy hops are light and not oily on the tongue. Pretty decent. As far as a session ipa goes, its one of the better ones i’ve come across.

This is a pretty nice and well rounded IPA. Very sessionable with the hops; tamed and mild. Alcohol also makes this a pretty easy beer to drink. I wouldn’t drink this all night unless it was a bit less sweet.

Pour is clear golden head with a quickly disappearing head. Aromas of citrus and mango. Very fruity. Taste is more on the malty side with a medium bitterness and some fruity grapefruit and grassy notes. A bit watery and a light body. As it says on the label it’s more sessionable with a pretty low ABV for an IPA. Good beer for a hot summer night!

Cloudy yellow with a big white head. Aroma is not very hoppy, getting notes of wheat. Flavor is really light, there’s a bit of what and mild bitterness. Not much hops to speak of. Really misses the IPA portion of session IPA. Wife: 3.2

Unbelievable richness and flavor at 5%. Creamy palate, bread malts, lots of unctuous yeast, and a grapefruit, tangerine, mown grass hop. Excellent.
