LASSO is the new frontier of India Pale Ale. Brewed with a robust roundup of Columbus, Centennial and Cascade hops, its sessionable simplicity proves bigger isn’t always better. But make no mistake – the Wild West hasn’t gone mild. That same untamed IPA spirit thrives, and we reckon this’ll go down mighty fine.

Crystal Clear golden pour with faint ring of clearish head. Citrusy nose and sweet floral hop flavor. Honey and grassy hops are light and not oily on the tongue. Pretty decent. As far as a session ipa goes, its one of the better ones i’ve come across.

This is a pretty nice and well rounded IPA. Very sessionable with the hops; tamed and mild. Alcohol also makes this a pretty easy beer to drink. I wouldn’t drink this all night unless it was a bit less sweet.

Pour is clear golden head with a quickly disappearing head. Aromas of citrus and mango. Very fruity. Taste is more on the malty side with a medium bitterness and some fruity grapefruit and grassy notes. A bit watery and a light body. As it says on the label it’s more sessionable with a pretty low ABV for an IPA. Good beer for a hot summer night!

Cloudy yellow with a big white head. Aroma is not very hoppy, getting notes of wheat. Flavor is really light, there’s a bit of what and mild bitterness. Not much hops to speak of. Really misses the IPA portion of session IPA. Wife: 3.2

Unbelievable richness and flavor at 5%. Creamy palate, bread malts, lots of unctuous yeast, and a grapefruit, tangerine, mown grass hop. Excellent.

Bottle. Clear gold light body, but not too thin. Nice hoppiness with lighter finish.

Meh. This ain’t overly fresh coming up on 4 months old (but still on the shelf) but its a little lacking in hops, especially the nose. Nice enough just not what I prefer in an ipa. You have to work for a lightly grassy malty nose and the flavor is more akin with an apa. Crisp feel

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2015 Middle gold color, cloudy, billowing and stiff head that fills the glass to the top and stays there. Medium body, strong flavor, smooth texture, low alcohol heat, explosive (literally) carbonation, long palate. Very bitter, not without a slightly sweet malty background. Hoppy and slightly malty, yeasty. Good, assertive, not great. Cloudy, dry, gassy, bottle conditioned?

Crisp light copper coloured body with a very thin, one centimetre tall just white head. Aroma of fresh hops, yeast, wort, lemons and a bit of cardboardie funk as malt. Light-bodied; Strong flavour of grassy and very perfumey hops with a kick of lemons and yeast noticeable and a hint of very light honey sweetness. Aftertaste shows only a touch of the hop bitterness, but mainly a very mild and slightly watery finish. Overall, a decent light IPA with some bitterness up front, but not enough depth or complexity to be a good beer from this style. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle given to me at the brewpub in Denver, Colorado (due to it being a low-fill) on 07-June-2014 sampled at home in Washington on 14-August-2014.

The color is a hazy orange with a large white head that fades somewhat quickly. The aroma blends resin and floral hops with light malts, and the taste is slightly bitter, slightly sweet, and a touch sour; the mouthfeel fuses a slick texture, medium-light body, soft carbonation, and a slightly bitter yet fairly abrupt finish.
