COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
LASSO is the new frontier of India Pale Ale. Brewed with a robust roundup of Columbus, Centennial and Cascade hops, its sessionable simplicity proves bigger isn’t always better. But make no mistake – the Wild West hasn’t gone mild. That same untamed IPA spirit thrives, and we reckon this’ll go down mighty fine.

Bland, boring, forgettable, not bad, not good, truly the middle-of-the-road. As "session IPAs" go this is one of the lesser ones I’ve tried, seems like GD isn’t giving themselves enough credit with some of their recent new releases. They used to make lots of really exciting stuff.

12-oz can. Pours a murky medium amber with a loose white head that sticks around, leaving plenty of stringy lace. Biscuity nose, medium caramel, tangerines. Creamy light body, flabby carb. Light caramel and biscuit on the mid palate, modest bite from the hops. Off finish.

Can pour into shaker glass. Aroma is floral and bready malts. Appearance is clear golden yellow with nice sparkle, 2 finger-width foamy white head with poor retention but fair lacing. Taste is mix of bitter floral over bready malts. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, average to lively carbonation and bitter finish. Overall, a flavorful session IPA with all the right features (light, not terribly complex) but a little on the bitter side for me.

At a tasting, thanks, small creamy head, a touch hazy orange color, shrubby slightly piney mineral aroma, empathic herbal slightly grapefruit bitterness with a touch of malt and pine behind. Feels a bit off and smelly but still fair and drinkable.

Can sample at a tasting at Beer and Beyond, Tel Aviv. Hazy golden with off-white head. The aroma is fruity with notes of citrus, candy and some dust. Very bitter flavor, dusty with notes of citrus (lemon, grapefruit), grassy and "green", dry. Medium-bodied. Probably not so fresh.
