Just not my glass of beer, left a bitter aftertaste in my mouth. Heavy smell, earthy.

Beautiful copper colour with lots of beige lacing, nice looking beer. Aroma of caramel and brandy. Tastes of hop bittered caramel, brandy/whiskey. This is a really nice beer!

bottle - in Denver Sept 2009 - a wonderful imperial IPA, surprising to me that I liked the regular Hercules more than the oak aged - both amazing though

definitely a strong whiskey presence, not much hop aroma or taste after being aged in oak barrels. but at 10% abv it is an aggressive double ipa aged in oak barrels. enjoyed at lucky pie on tap in louisville colorado in a pint glass
