Commercial Description:
Crack open Yeti Imperial Stout’s sophisticated sibling -- Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. Although these beers come from the same clan, they have entirely different personalities. Aging on a blend of French and toasted oak chips infuses a subtle oak and vanilla character into Yeti’s already intense chocolate, roasted coffee malt flavor and hugely assertive hop profile. Who says you can’t tame a Yeti? 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

A fantastic imperial stout that I can get at any time. Thanks Great Divide! Pours a thick black with a nice roast and a ton of chocolate, dark fruits and oak. Flavors follow, with a great ballance. Great brew.

Shared with Steve. So I have now had the original, the oak aged and the oak aged espresso, and I think that with these beers the oak aging tames the hoppiness a little bit. I like the oak age better than the original.

Poured Black. with a brownish head. Chocolate, roasted coffee, and Oak.. not as hoppy as the regular yeti imperial stout. I still like the oak aged espresso yeti the best out of the bunch

Poured oily black with a brown head. Great look. Roasted coffee with a sweeter candy finish. Some hoppy flavor.

A: Dark black with a medium head that retains nicely and leaves behind some nice lacing. Beautiful! S: Ahh the smell of an Oaked Stout. Vanilla, Chocolate, Cherries, Brown Sugar and a hint of booze. Wonderful! T: It tastes as good as it smells. I love the regular Yeti and the oaking pushes this one over the top. There is a big mocha coffee taste with a splash of the vanilla. The oaking leaves a little smokiness behind. Divine! M: This is a thick beer that coats the mouth and throat which is such a wonderful thing since it lets this baby linger. Super! D: I put down an entire bottle easily and if I had another I would have been on my way to drunken ecstasy. Bravo! Overall: If you like the regular version of Yeti do yourself a favor and pick this one up. It is a wonderful stout and the oaking smoothes it out and pushes it to another level. Great Divide has done a great job with this one. It’s worth every cent! Cheers!

Huge delicious head! Great lacing and head retention. This beer pours thick and smooth. Nose: Robust coffee, dark fruits, belgian chocolate, licorise, and molassis(stawberry, and a mild pomogranite freshness) Flavor: Oak, hops, coffee, caramel, and chocolate. Mild alcohol, and a big malty fullness. Huge mouth feel, big hoppy and molassis finish!
