ruffhauser (27), Seattle, Washington, USA Feb 20, 2009 Sampled straight from the tit at the Great Divide brewery when at GABF 2008. This and the Espresso Yeti were trip highlights. Have a couple glasses of water with this one. ericandersnavy (1038), crossroads, Texas, USA Feb 16, 2009 bottle from metzlers in denton, tx. poured black with a chocolate brown head. aroma of chocolate, dark roasts, hops, some pine, and alcohol. flavor was the same as the nose with the addition of oak. full body, low carb, some bitter and dryness. cant wait for the barrel aged. arrogantb (694), Denver, Colorado, USA Feb 13, 2009 When I saw the email about cask Oaked Yeti I had to hit up the taproom. The appearance of the beer was spot on. It was poured into a Yeti tulip glass. it was solid black with a fluffy cocoa colored head. The smell was muted and the whole tap room smells a little malty anyway. The taste was roasty, a little vanilla, and much more subdued than the bottled version. The mouth-feel was the best part but what do you expect from cask? I still prefer the bottled version.

Smells of coffee malt, chocolate, burnt oak, and a hint of the boozy alcohol. Taste is similar. Lots of coffee and strong burnt malt notes and a hint of the alcohol. Great, in your face imperial stout. Anker (305), Hillerød, Denmark Feb 11, 2009 On tap. Pours pitch black, with a medium dense brown head.
Aroma is oak, dark chocolate, malt and vanilla.
Flavor is bitter dark roasted coffee, oak and vanilla. It has a well balance bitter finish.
Quite good. RDWHAHB (2), Lincoln, Nebraska, USA does not count Feb 9, 2009 Pours black with a darker-than-usual espresso-like head. Aroma is beautifully complex and a good indication of the flavor to follow. Very robust flavor all in balance and also very complex. The oak adds a nice spicy/vanilla character that is unmistakeable. Great beer! DannyP (29), Connecticut, USA Feb 7, 2009 Pours a beautiful head. Color of Coffee and it’s thick. It’s sweet to the nose, but you can smell the roasted grains/ malts quite well in the nose of this big brew.
The appearance is near perfect. Dark, wonderful lacing
Just the right bitterness meets this sweet beer at the out. Very well balanced. lakersfan16 (53), Anchorage, Alaska, USA Feb 6, 2009 22 oz. bottle.
Pours bitch black with a dark brown head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, molasses, syrup, vanilla, etc... Very rich flavor and full bodied. One of the best imperial stout’s I’ve had.
