Commercial Description:
Crack open Yeti Imperial Stout’s sophisticated sibling -- Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. Although these beers come from the same clan, they have entirely different personalities. Aging on a blend of French and toasted oak chips infuses a subtle oak and vanilla character into Yeti’s already intense chocolate, roasted coffee malt flavor and hugely assertive hop profile. Who says you can’t tame a Yeti? 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Bottle from BottleTrek in OR. This aged Imperial Stout ranks up there with the Speedway Stout. There was a great mix of vanilla, deep chocolate, and coffee to round off this brew. The palate definitely benefits from the barrel-aging process, along with adding character from the oak. I will buy this one again. Excellent, excellent thick beer. Just typing about it makes me want another.

Bomber. Pitch black color with a nice solid tan head that stays on the beer the entire time. Extremely rich nose, very roasty. The flavor comes across like the richest, strongest coffee I’ve ever had. There’s a bit of an alcohol burn that combines well with the roasty flavors to warm the whole body. If I could get a coffee that tastes just like this, I’d be a happy man.

22 oz. bottle. Dark black pour with a large, dark tan head. Nice hoppy aroma, with hints of chocolate, oak, and some coffee. Smooth, silky mouthfeel. Flavor is a real treat. Dark chocolate notes mix really nice with the light oak notes. Finish is bitter with a touch of licorice. Really great beer for the price.

Great Divide Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout is not as enjoyable as the original. The head of the Oak Aged is smaller and quicker to dissolve. The aroma is a bit stronger and better, but the flavor is more intense and bitter. The increase in flavor throws off the balance and leads to a less anjoyable drink. Coffee, chocolate and tons of roasted malt describe the aroma and flavor.

Pours thick and black with a rocky, brown head. Sweet and chocolatey with a generous hoppy bitterness. Excellent.

Pours completely black with a creamy brown head. Very nice lacing, marking every sip that was sadly now gone. Strong aromas of coffee, chocolate, alcohol, and a faint oakyness. Flavor is similar, but less chocolate and less of an oak flavor. Palate was tremendous! Full-bodied, thick and syrupy, but unbelieveably smooth! To date, probably the most drinkable stout I have had.
