Commercial Description:
Crack open Yeti Imperial Stout’s sophisticated sibling -- Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. Although these beers come from the same clan, they have entirely different personalities. Aging on a blend of French and toasted oak chips infuses a subtle oak and vanilla character into Yeti’s already intense chocolate, roasted coffee malt flavor and hugely assertive hop profile. Who says you can’t tame a Yeti? 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Black pour with nice tan head. Alcoholic and bitter aroma hinting at what is ahead. Tastes of roasted malt behind strong chocolate, coffee, with a little vanilla. The oak is in there. Mthoufeel is nice and thick and viscous. We tasted with along with a number of other stouts and people loved it.

A near perfect stout for me. Deep darkness in a glass. An amazingly rich aroma of oak, vanilla, subtle coffee/chocolate and a tinge of fire! This is my favorite stout of the year so far. I like it only a tad bit better then Expedition Stout by Bell’s. But this is amazing!

Pours oil black with a nice dark tan head that lingers around the edge of the glass. Aroma is very potent with some very strong bitter chocolate, molasses, roasted vanilla beans, wood and surprisingly, some hops make it through. Flavor starts out with a lot of oak, and I mean a lot! Very strong vanilla and a definite whiskey barrel sort of woodiness that comes in the finish. Some definite hops remain from start to finish along with some coffee bitterness. Sticky mouth feel and a medium-full body that is very creamy. Excellent beer but still very drinkable. I did pick up some alcohol but it was such complex flavors that it wasn’t too prevalent. Nice stuff.

This is a superb American Brewed RIP. Hints of chocolate, anise, expresso /coffee, and just the right sweetness and hops for a SMOOOOth finish to this excellent RIP

Pours black with a big dark tan head that leaves all kinds of lacing. Aroma is roasty and very hoppy. Taste is roasty dark malts, coffee and chocolate, with a lasting bitter finish as well. Very good.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown body with a dark tan head. Oak, vanilla, chocolate, and a huge hop character that my palate couldn’t tame. I prefer the non oaked version but nevertheless a solid beer.

22oz (previously on draft too). Sweet syrupy appearance that is richly dark. Nice tan/mocha head. Very smooth and refined mouthfeel, more than most Imp Stouts, with surprisingly high carbonation. Notes of mocha, oak and candy/grapes. Excellent!
