Commercial Description:
Crack open Yeti Imperial Stout’s sophisticated sibling -- Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. Although these beers come from the same clan, they have entirely different personalities. Aging on a blend of French and toasted oak chips infuses a subtle oak and vanilla character into Yeti’s already intense chocolate, roasted coffee malt flavor and hugely assertive hop profile. Who says you can’t tame a Yeti? 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Wow! This is probably the smoothest Impy that I’ve ever had. I didn’t expect a whole lot out of a beer this widely distributed, but it was really very tasty. Really enjoyed it a lot.

Flavor bomb is the way to describe this incredible stout great on all counts even the presentation which has a creamy dark tan head that last longer then most high alcohol stouts. dark black and full of flavor with a deep chocolate finish.

Mostly deep roasted coffee aromas with some cocoas. I don’t get much wood in the arom though it is very full. Some alcohol is deinitely present. Texture is full bodied, creamy and thick. If anything is subtle it’s the hop profile. There are a whole lot of hops in here and not much comes through over all the other stuff going on. It’s definitely there but luke a big fat bass line instead of something more granular and vivid.

Incredibly tastey and filling. This beer pours a dark deep black colour with a very large khaki coloured head. The aromas are rich and very strong. a little alcohol with dark coffee beans, roasted nuts, and caramel. Mouthfeel is rich as well, very full and wickedly carbonated. Tastes of a coffee specialty drink, alcohol, and barbeque.

22oz bomber. Extremely dark brown pour, and a thick pour with beige head. Very smooth, with lots of complex flavors some licorice, chocolate, and even bourbon. The spiciness of the oak really comes out and dominates in the aftertaste.

Totally impressed by this one. Pours a thick dark charcoal like, with nutty colored head. Smell of chocolat, matly, hoppy, roasted and spices. Leaves a slight aftertaste of vanilla smooth but at the same time, it hits you with an oaky / spicy mouthfeel.

What a great beer. This is a huge impy, but in an understated way. Pours dark brown, almost black like soy sauce. Aroma is malty and woody. Flavor is silghly sweet, but not as much as a lot of impy stouts. Malt flavor is nice with vanilla hints and wood. Great brew. Rerate addition: New 08 bottles are hoppier than ones in the past.

22 oz. bottle. Couldn’t find much aroma here. Just so slightly of earth and malt. Pours a nice thick black with a tannish/brown head that lasts a good while. Flavor is thick, creamy, dark, malty, burnt and coffee all together. Finishes with a good bitter that doesn’t hang. I was very impressed with this beer.
