Commercial Description:
Crack open Yeti Imperial Stout’s sophisticated sibling -- Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. Although these beers come from the same clan, they have entirely different personalities. Aging on a blend of French and toasted oak chips infuses a subtle oak and vanilla character into Yeti’s already intense chocolate, roasted coffee malt flavor and hugely assertive hop profile. Who says you can’t tame a Yeti? 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Pours a dark black with a very dark brown head. Looks a little like motor oil. Has a very hoppy and roasty aroma. I think I could taste the vanilla but it was subtle in my opinion. Very good beer overall. I drank this out of a shaker because i don’t own a snifter.

Bottle aged six months. Very nice roasted aroma with a very fine hop balance. Pitch black with quick dissipating mocha head. Taste is so much better than its sibling. Tastes of mocha and of course the oak barrel. VERY nice beer and I will have again.

22oz bomber into a nonic. Pours a black syrup that rivals molasses on the coldest of days; this stuff is thick. Comes complete with a thick tan head that sticks to the glass. Lots of milk chocolate, cappuccino, roasted malts, vanilla, and a dose of alcohol on the nose. Gets you excited! On the palate, a bit of alcohol up front, then roasted cocoa beans. This has the whole bean, chocolate and espresso, with a bit of hops to help balance it out. Roasted malts come through again in the finish and the alcohol warms and cleanses. Heavy, thick, coating, smooth, mild carbonation; it’s a meal, and a great one at that. Break one out for with friends on a cold night. This, in itself, is worth celebrating.

Black with a grey-brown head and fine lacings. Amazing aroma with a lot of chocolate, orange, vanilla and basement. The flavours start off sweet and complex with heavy notes of chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, a bit of oak and ends in a powerfull hoppy finish. It is full bodied with a perfect oily texture, and the alcohol is well hidden.

Poured black with brown head. Aromas of burnt malts, chocolate, coffee, oak, vanilla. Taste is mostly burnt malts and oak. Starts slightly sweet and finishes bitter. Alcohol and oak flavors dominate. Full body with slick, creamy mouthfeel and minimal carbonation. Very good, but I prefer the regular Yeti to this one. The oak flavor just doesn’t do it for me.
