4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Growler from Super Deli Mart, poured into a goblet. Pours viscous pitch black with a dark dirt brown head with a slight reddish tint and of medium thickness. Aroma is dark chocolate, charred malt, old oaky wood and a hint of port-like booze. Taste is dark roasty malts, still harsh though tempered a bit by the oak, dark chocolate. A note of vanilla sweetness on the finish. Lingers bitter afterward. Thick, coating mouthfeel. The oak is not nearly as prominent as the Belgian yeast, chocolate, or espresso versions respectively - it allows the natural flavors of Yeti to really shine. Pretty tough without them right beside each other, but Iíd rank this just slightly ahead of the espresso, which was just ahead of the chocolate. Hard to go wrong either way, amazing that this beer can take on so many mods so well.

Aromat: Kompletne cudo, najlepszy punkt piwa - czekolada w każdej formie - kakao, praliny, właśnie czekolada, dalej wanilia i nuty beczkowe.

Bottle, 65cl. Opaque dark brown with a frothy/creamy brown head. Deep aromas of roasted malts, dried fruits, wood, alcohol. Full bodied with moderate to fizzy carbonation. Rich and creamy. Medium sweet, medium to heavy bitter. Fiery roasted and hoppy character into a stinging alcohol finish. Superb.

Bottle at THT thanks to RandomstrangerNL to try and save the pleasure of my 3000th rating. Black with good sized light brown head. Lots of dry cocoa powder, old coffee dregs, light chalk, roasted malts, fudge, soft vanilla. Thereís a bit of a strange smell too it of cotton, moldy wood and granite, but when sipping the aroma is nice. Medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied with dry slick feel. Nice beer, though the smell is a bit of a let down.

bottle shared by a friend. poured your regular yeti colour. one of the best stout pours ever. pitch black with a creamy beige head on top. we had some powerfull barrel aged stouts before this one, so i canít notice a big difference with the oak aged. sweet dark baker chocolate, roasted malts, dark espresso coffee, cacao nibs, charred ash, vanilla smoothness, licorice. bitter roast finish. would say this is a bit more smoother than the regular yeti.

Big bottle. Bottled on: oct 21 2015. Poured into tulip glass. Big dark tan head settles slowly. Some lacing. Beer is almost black in color. Malty aroma with notes of dark chocolate. Taste is medium bitter and lightly sweet with notes of chocolate and strong notes of oak. Medium bodied beer with average carbonation. Thicker texture. Over all a tasty beer.
