COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Crack open Yeti Imperial Stout’s sophisticated sibling -- Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. Although these beers come from the same clan, they have entirely different personalities. Aging on a blend of French and toasted oak chips infuses a subtle oak and vanilla character into Yeti’s already intense chocolate, roasted coffee malt flavor and hugely assertive hop profile. Who says you can’t tame a Yeti? 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Bottle. Nearly black pour with a thick, dark brown head. Roasty, slightly boozy aroma of chocolate, vanilla, coffee, oak and liquorice. Thick, creamy taste, lots of chocolate, and notes of coffee, vanilla, oak, some subtle dark fruits and a hint of smoke. Very nice.

Old rating....delicious like most yetis. This one has very soft oak and vanilla presence over the giant chocobooze monster. Big mouthfeel, appropriate for this beast.

Very mild but good aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, and a hint of sweetness. The mouthfeel is just slightly dried by the aging to me. I'm not sure if this blended to taste or not but they've definitely pleasing to me. The finish is nice and dry, leaving you to get yourself into trouble with this imperial stout.

(Bottled Sep 29, 2014; drank Apr 15, 2015) 12 oz pour from a room temp bomber into a Spiegelau stout glass. Beautiful pour. Black as chocolate syrup and about as opaque. Huge, powerful, deep-brown head. Lasting with a bunch of lacing. Nose is layered-- oak, vanilla, chocolate. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. Carbonation not too notable, probably due to how thick the beer is. Taste is amazing. Lots of layers: starts with caramel sweetness and chocolate, moves to oat and oak, then finishes with a scotchy bite. Alcohol taste not too strong, surprisingly. Such a good beer.

High quality hitter. Deep thick rich color. Could dye your hair with it. Heavy mouth feel velvety and sticks for a long time. Oak is light but Imperial is kicking you. Bottle

Bomber, almost 2 years old. Pours black with mocha head. Coffee, dark fruit, tobacco, toasted malt on the nose and taste. Hints of vanilla, not much wood on this old bottle, but very good.

650 ml Bottle at home, 28th March 15. Rating #1100. Purchased in Orlando, 2013, bottled 2012. Pours a great rich black drink, with a lovely fluffy head. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla, wood. Taste is rich and smooth, the oak comes through well and complements the base beer. Good bitterness, prevents this from been too sugary and sweet. Great stuff

Bottle, shared by me... in my dining room... just now.
Pours black with a huge dark brown head.

The aroma offers some nice sweetness & roastiness. It’s got a good chocolate thing going on for sureAs it opens up a little bit of toasted marshmallow comes thorught. The oak is mild on the noes and the fruity hoppiness of yeti is a little more subdued in this one.

The flavor is pretty oak forward, not in a bad way... just in a surprising way. There is a nice hoppy punch to greet you with this beer akin to it’s un-oaked counterpart. The beer has nice dark fruit a good level of bitterness, some mild sweetness and a nice dark chocolate character all around. Honestly this one handles that whole big imperial stout without a big sweetness thing extraordinarily well.
