COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Crack open Yeti Imperial Stout’s sophisticated sibling -- Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. Although these beers come from the same clan, they have entirely different personalities. Aging on a blend of French and toasted oak chips infuses a subtle oak and vanilla character into Yeti’s already intense chocolate, roasted coffee malt flavor and hugely assertive hop profile. Who says you can’t tame a Yeti? 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

When i poured it I couldn’t be sure it wasn’t watered down molasses until I smelled it. It starts with a smell of smoked soy sauce. It tastes of the smoothest Guinness Extra Stout you can imagine. Aftertaste of the finest cigar. Ten dollars for a Pint and a half is a bargain.

On draft. Aroma of loamy, oaky earth. Flavors of weak espresso, earthy mushrooms and... truffles? Biggest flavor is what I imagine oak would taste like. Delightful.

Pour is a beautiful pitch black with a dark tan head. Amazing looking beer. Leaves fantastic lacing too. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, oak, plums, vanilla. Taste is strong oak, and follows the aroma nicely. Dry, bitter fnish. Delicious.

What a treat. Rich colour and taste. From the dark cascading pour to the delicious last sip, a fantastic experience. Big thanks to the artisans in the 80205. Tells me those jokers in Golden have no excuse. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2012 vinatge. Pours a dark brown, near black...nice and lively mocha head that settles into fine lacing and a ring around the teku glass. Pretty oily, with decent legs. Aromas of oak are immediately present. Dark chocolate, roasted nuttiness and a slight note of alcohol make themselves known. Taste is loaded with bitter dark chocolates, a mild roasted body coupled with notes of vanilla and oak. A nice bitter finish is accompanied by more oak impressions, along with bitter chocolate...almost pushing coffee notes across my palate. Very nice and smooth, minimal alcohol is noticeable. Great imperial stout...medium-heavy body...lively carbonation. Nice balance.

Opaque black brown , coffee colored frothy head, good lace. Good foamy head. Aroma of dense: caramel, coco, a little liqorice, bit of coffee, slight toasted oak, some noble like hops little bit of dark fruit and ester yeast character. Bottled only less than a month ago. Roast chocolate, grainy espresso, caramel. Rich oily buttery, dense chocolate, ash coffeeish roast on the end. Bit of booze, some planty hops, piney/ grapefruit? bitter.
