COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Crack open Yeti Imperial Stout’s sophisticated sibling -- Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. Although these beers come from the same clan, they have entirely different personalities. Aging on a blend of French and toasted oak chips infuses a subtle oak and vanilla character into Yeti’s already intense chocolate, roasted coffee malt flavor and hugely assertive hop profile. Who says you can’t tame a Yeti? 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

A delicious imperial stout. Very dark, molasses color with a medium brown head. Oaky taste with a burnt caramel finish. Smooth oily pallet. A rich woody aftertaste, mildly bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Incredibly heavy taste of coffee, dark chocolate and soy. The scent is also really good. A heavy bitterness that fills the mouth forever. Close to perfect beer! Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Mine wasn’t oak aged but burnt oats balance out quite a bit of hops for this dry stout with a hint of booziness - very pleasurable on an unseasonably cool 4th of July.

Bomber to a pint. Opaque black fluid with thin tan head and ample lacing. Big bold coffee notes highlighted with dark chocolate and vanilla sweetness. Flavor is complex, smooth, creamy, well balanced, yet dark and brooding. A truly world class Imperial Stout!

My mate traded six Murray’s wild things for this and it was worth it. You can’t get this in Oz so honoured to have some. A perfect imperial stout. Roasty, chocolate, coffee, strong alcohol taste, smooth, good bitterness, everything you want. One if the best beers I have ever had. Drank it listening to a Neil Young record, went down an absolute treat, like black gold.

Bottle. A- Oak, roasty, alcohol. A- Black color, black liquid, tan head. T- Oak, woody, smoky, bitter chocolate, coffee. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, robust finish. O- Maybe the best of the Yeti beers, tenfold smoother and more drink ability than the original Yeti. The oakiness adds a nice dimension and makes it smooth.

The Oak Aged variant of Great Divide’s awesome Yeti boasts more complexity than the bare-bones Imperial Stout. You still get a huge dose of coffee and bittersweet chocolate but the oak becomes an excellent element in the already smoky character of the beer. Of course, nothing can stop that bracing hop finish with all of its earthiness and roasty bitterness. The Oak Aged Yeti proves that Great Divide has the chops to make an amazing ale even better.

Draft. Black with a nice creamy brown head. Lots of coffee. Espresso. Lots of chocolate. Dark chocolate. Some oaky notes with accompanying light dryness. Enough hops to balance everything. Nice noderate bitterness and roastiness. Great balance. Full body. Soft and smooth. Some alcohol warmth but no booze. Top notch beer.

2012 vintage had this side by side with the regular yeti, and although i enjoyed this beer it just wasn’t as good as the regular to me. the oak taste was good, but it subdued the complex bitterness the regular gave me which was a slight detractor for me. overall damn good but the original is slightly better to me

Big and bold. Coffee, caramel, chocolate, nuts, vanilla, butterscotch, raisins. Oil black. Not overly sweet. Great stout.
