COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Crack open Yeti Imperial Stoutís sophisticated sibling -- Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. Although these beers come from the same clan, they have entirely different personalities. Aging on a blend of French and toasted oak chips infuses a subtle oak and vanilla character into Yetiís already intense chocolate, roasted coffee malt flavor and hugely assertive hop profile. Who says you canít tame a Yeti? 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Bottle. The pour was a very thick pitch black with an average sized (1-2 finger) chocolate brown creamy head that had really good retention, reducing to a moderate sized foam cap with a large foamy collar thus producing excellent streaky lacing. The aroma was of a dark roasted malt, a resin hop and a leathery yeast with notes of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, molasses, vanilla, licorice, a bit of oak and a mild alcohol tinge. The taste was a tiny bit sweet and very malty with hints of licorice, dark chocolate and molasses from the onset and then proceeded to become a nice bitter hoppy with a big note of coffee and hints of vanilla and oak with a strong alcohol finish. The flavor hung around for a very long time with the coffee flavor taking hold as the taste of alcohol faded. Mouthfeel was full and a bit chewy in body with a texture that was smooth, creamy and a tad oily, while having a nice strong lively carbonation. Overall a brew that has everything balanced so well that it just slides down the throat leaving you wanting more...

Dark opaque black, thick dark brown head. Roasted coffee malts, quite sweet nose, vanilla. Very complex. Bitter dark chocolate notes, with sweeter undertones. Long finish. Quite thick bodied, fairly carbonated. Really well balanced, subtle beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Pours black with creme colored head that dissipates. String aroma of chocolate with some hop presence. Coffee flavors dominate with chocolate after tones and mild hop finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Motor oil pour with dark brown thin head. The first thing I smell is rubbing alcohol & hops. Very robust chocolate flavor & the alcohol is evident more so than any other beer I can remember having with a slow gentle burn all the way down. Chocolate takes second to the alcohol for me in this one, very enjoyable but very potent.

A- Pours pitch black with a nice, 1 finger coffee head. S- Very hoppy, deep roasted malts, thick caramel, oak. T- Taste is very oakey up front with lots of dark roasted malt notes throughout the middle, followed by a deep coffee and hop aftertaste finished with strong alocohol notes. M- Thick with ample carbonation. D- This one just didnít seem to balance well to me. Not because it was an imperial stout but because the strong flavors just seemed to take away from each other more than they supported each other.

Very dark brown, almoust black beer. Brown, creamy, head that leaves a lot of lacing on the glass.

Nose: Oak, chocolate, vanilla, cookies, smoke, cacao beans, brown sugar and coffee.

Taste: Raisin, dried fruit, wood, oak, cream, vanilla, roasted malt and bitter dark chocolate.

Full body with a oily texture and little carbonation.
I just LOVE this!

Bottle. PItch black, three fingers, some lacings. Aroma is sweet caramell, vanilla, wood, cookies, cocoa and some swedish julmust (a rather sweet Coke-like-soda). Taste is massive and comples, with heavy roasted tones, dark bread, cocoa, vanilla and oak tones that quickly turns into a cascade of hoppy bitterness. Ends lingering bitter, much like the regular Yeti. Full body, smooth oily texture. Average carbo. Well made.
