COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Much like its legendary predecessors, this Yeti is big, bold and dark.  The addition of rolled oats softens Yeti’s notoriously roasty backbone and the small amount of raisins added in the brew kettle create a unique dark fruit character.  Just as admired as those that came before it, Oatmeal Yeti Imperial Stout is a softer beast.

(Great Divide Yeti Imperial Stout - Oatmeal) Bottle 650 ml at home, served into a snifter, ABV 9.5% Black coloured body, small but thick dark brown head, with good retention. Aroma of chocolate, light oats, roasted malts, light vanilla and fruity notes. Taste of oats, light roasted malts, fruity notes and some citrus even, light vanilla. Quite bitter on the finish. Medium thick body, soft carbonation, sticky on the palate. Quite good, a bit weak on the aroma but it packs quite a flavour.

Poured into a snifter from a bottle. I love me some Yeti, so I can’t wait to try another version. 4.5 A: Black color. Two fingers of creamy/frothy light brown head. Retention is good given the ABV and a full finger of lacing is left. 4.5 S: Smells great. Solid Yeti base featuring deep roasty toastiness, big heaping of chocolate, caramel and molasses. Sweet with the roast balancing. New is the raisin and plum fruitiness along with that unique oat flavor. 4.5 T: Tastes as good as it smells. Big roasty toasty flavor. Moderate bitterness coming from hops and darker malts. Oats have a mellowing effect. Trio of chocolate, caramel, and molasses up in yo grille. Earthy hops to round it out. Woody aftertaste. 4.25 M: Heavier medium to heavy body. Good moderate carbonation. Pleasantly creamy. 4.5 D: Another great Yeti beer. Hope they continue exploring new avenues. D: Another winner here. The Yeti cannot be stopped. ★ 947 characters DavoleBomb, Sep 03, 2015

On tap at the jolly scholar. Pours dark black and syrupy with thin brown head. Aromas of roasted malt and chocolate covered dried fruit. Flavor is rich and toasty but quite hoppy with a smooth finish. Tasted next to np berserker. Chocolate covered hops is what I get, which is great! Nice version of an American Imp stout. Must have been fresh.

Christmas bottle courtesy of Zac. Just as big and bold as the original but the oatmeal does add a smoothness. Maybe a little booze forward at the young age but still tasty.

Det här så förbannat bra att man nästan blir upprörd, svart som natten och trögflytande som ketchup, precis som man vill ha det. Smaken kraftfull och ljuvlig med inslag all härlighetens toner, gott skit helt enkelt!
