COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Much like its legendary predecessors, this Yeti is big, bold and dark.  The addition of rolled oats softens Yeti’s notoriously roasty backbone and the small amount of raisins added in the brew kettle create a unique dark fruit character.  Just as admired as those that came before it, Oatmeal Yeti Imperial Stout is a softer beast.

Pitch black, aroma with mild notes of belgian yeast, chocolate, coffee. The oatmeal makes this much smoother then the original. Really good!

Smells a little yeasty and earthy. Pours thick brown with a tan head. Strong coffee flavors with a hint of the raisins at the end, and a long smoky aftertaste.

Bottle I drank while my mom drank our homemade limoncello and Jenny recovered from her Irish Wake and general lack of sleep. Surprisingly thin oily black pour with a small tan fizzy head. Aroma is dark fruit and LOTS of molasses heavy upfront with raisins and dark chocolate. Roasty coffee notes make way for massive molasses and dark fruit. Soft, velvety body that’s not as thin as I was expecting, moderate carbonation level. Slight tobacco and raisin in the finish with a roasted malt flavor that lingers and lingers softly. Delicious stuff.

Bottled from Systembolaget Black with a beige head. Liquorice, chocolate, coffee, sweet fruits, vinous. Lovely balance and mouthfeel; soft and smooth.

650 ml bottle I purchased at Systembolaget (via order) a little while back. Sampled on February 22, 2014.
Black color, dark brown fluffy lasting head that leaves lacing on the glass. Sweet, smooth, raisin taste. Some alcohol on the tip of my tongue. Sweet, chocolate, cocoa aftertaste. Smooth, soft, rich mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
A lovely beer, very nice, a shame I only managed to get my greedy hands on the one bottle. Glad I got to drink one though.

En snäll jätte står det på flaskan. Det stämmer rätt väl, trots den mycket kraftiga och nästan trögflytande vätskan är den ganska snäll.

Bomber. Black with a tall mocha head. Raisins, vanilla, chocolate and earthy hops. Milk chocolate sweetness with an earthy bitterness. Body is heavier with a bubbly feel.

22 oz bottle pours a dark black color with a nice tan head. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, light hops, dark roasted malts. Huge beer, oats make it surprising smooth and delicious. Great.

Bottle. The point of adding oatmeal to a imperial stout is to smoothen the taste aswell as the texture (I guess). In this beer, however, the oatmeal works as a base for the roasted malts and spices to play its game one by one, which turns it into a rather unbalanced brew.

Bottle. Pours black with a light Brown head. Smooth and drinkable which is nice, but the alcohol and roasted malts makes it rather rough. Some bitterness, dark fruits and vinousity.
