Much like its legendary predecessors, this Yeti is big, bold and dark. The addition of rolled oats softens Yetis notoriously roasty backbone and the small amount of raisins added in the brew kettle create a unique dark fruit character. Just as admired as those that came before it, Oatmeal Yeti Imperial Stout is a softer beast.

Thick, black beer with a dark brown to beige, two finger head. Lacing on the glass when the head sinks down to a thin, brown layer. Nose: Chocolate cream, vanilla, ice cream, honey, toffee, brown sugar, nuts, hops, coffee and of course the special "Great Divide" smell! I JUST LOVE IT! Mouth: Full, great, big, complex body with a very small amount of carbonation. Coffee, dark roasted malt, espresso, ash, caramel malt and a lot of dark chocolate! This is a MUST HAVE. I love it. Im glad Ive saved a few in the beercellar :)

Raisins, dark fruit, licorice and light coffee in both taste and smell. Heavy bitterness in the aftertaste that fills the mouth forever. Gets better the hotter it gets. Follow me @ Kung av l @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

June 2013 Bottle. Totally holds up and is still delicious. Less raisen and sweet fruit and more towards a dry smokey molasses and chocolate. I like it aged a little better. The malty flavors are so well balanced with the body and booze.

Poured from a 22. Color is dark with a tan head. Aroma is sweet like molasses. Flavor is slightly boozy, sweet with molasses and raisin. There is a nice roasty malt flavor to it with a slight chalky finish. Great beer!
