COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Much like its legendary predecessors, this Yeti is big, bold and dark.  The addition of rolled oats softens Yeti’s notoriously roasty backbone and the small amount of raisins added in the brew kettle create a unique dark fruit character.  Just as admired as those that came before it, Oatmeal Yeti Imperial Stout is a softer beast.

Pitch black, aroma with mild notes of belgian yeast, chocolate, coffee. The oatmeal makes this much smoother then the original. Really good!

Dark black in color with an off-white head. Quite sweet, roasted aroma. Mellow, buch rich and sweet; some coffee character, light dry fruit (raisin). A nice version of this beer.

Sweet, nice and bitter with a lovely balance. Fantastic beer but a bit too much with 65cl. Don’t know if I can taste the oatmeal but it’s so smooth and multi layered.

Pours black with a dark brown head. Heavy body. Chocolate, coffee, lots of roasted quality, raisin, finishes sweet with slight boozy quality. Not as good as the original yeti IMO.

(650ml bottle from Systembolaget) Pours black with a small off white head of small lingering bubbles, lace. Aroma molasses, raisins, dark fruit, some lightly sweetened red grape juice, just a bit of chocolate - doesn’t smell like an impy stout. Flavour of molasses and caramel, dark fruit, raisin, almost ruby port. A bit more dark chocolate from the middle on, touches of coffee roast, tangy fruit, hint of licorice. Finish fairly dry and roasty given how sweet the start is. A little oat creaminess in the finish. Medium body with soft carb and a little alcohol heat. Super fruity imperial stout, the raisins really change it - none of the hoppy character of the normal Yeti. Drinks like a really dark and roasty quad. Definitely different but very good if you suspend your stout expectations.

Pours ink black with tight dark tan head. Roasted oats and malt aroma. Some sweet mocha and coffee notes. Scents of dark fruit are tucked away in the many layers of this beaut. Rich chocolate and coffee taste with prominent roasted malts; hints of licorice. Finish is slightly bitter, however, a lip-smacking sweetness remains on the lips. Creamy, almost velvety, texture. Excellent, I thoroughly enjoyed.

SB Linköping repslagargatan, flaska. Fruktig arom russin mm. Ljus skum. Kolsvart färg som sig bör. Något mellan denna och den vanliga vore fint. Många smaker.

A Sweeter, less roasty, more rounded out, and more quad like Yeti. Not preferable to me, and the least preferable for all comparing Espresso, Chocolate, Oatmeal, Oak aged & Normal.

Oatmeal Yeti is a strange new animal in Great Divide’s fantastic series, but strange can sometimes be beautiful. Oatmeal Yeti trades smoky, bittersweet malt for velvety smooth oats. The characteristic hoppy zing is exchanged for fruity sweetness. Yes, Oatmeal Yeti is very different indeed. This stout pours black and has a frothy, brown head - looks like the perfect oatmeal stout. Aroma, on the other hand, is totally unlike any stout I’ve tried. The raisin notes are huge. It reminded me of a quad, but the dark fruit smells are fresher and juicier. Taste reveals chocolate, raisin, and partially sweet malt. Mouthfeel is silky but also sticky. Every Yeti I’ve had is special. In that respect, Oatmeal Yeti is exactly the same.
