4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pitch black, aroma with mild notes of belgian yeast, chocolate, coffee. The oatmeal makes this much smoother then the original. Really good!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black pour with a khaki colored head. Slightly sweet dark fruit raisiny nose. Roast, roast and roast. Taste is abrasive, big roast, slight bitter dark chocolate, dark fruit, raisin. Definitely thinner than expected, medium at best. Bottled 5 months ago, tastes like it needs 5 years.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours black like oil with the same viscosity, and has khaki colored head. Oats, roasted malt, and a hint of chocolate on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a rougher roasted note.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
11/9/14. Draft at Federal. Drinking it side by side w oak aged imperial. More lacing and lacking the reddish edge. A bit roastier and a harder edge.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
11/4/14. 22oz bottle from Five Points. I was a little surprised I hadn’t had this before... perhaps it’s new? Deep black pour, maybe some dark, dark browns under the light, under a quickly fading tan head that still manages to basically completely coat the glass with lace (this was not quite fridge cold when enjoyed, so perhaps that is helping). If the head had stuck, I probably would have given a 5 for appearance. Very rich aroma, reminds me very much of the regular Yeti, of course, perhaps with a slightly enhanced fruity aspect, otherwise the deep chocolates and roast we’ve come to expect. Very rich flavor, leaning toward s sweet in this case. Malty, creamy in a way, sweet fruitiness, coffee and cream, sweet caramel, lingering roasted malts. I always loved Yeti but this one starts to lean towards a tad too sweet and creamy for me in flavor, though it looks, smells, and feels pretty great.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Just one of my favorite beers, hands down. The oatmeal stout treatment of the much-loved Yeti is a little sweeter, and a lot more porridge-bowl roasty-toasty. A tremendous fireside companion.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
650 ml bottle bought from Systembolaget, shared at home. Black color with medium beige-brown head. Roasted malty aroma, chocolate and spicy (hoppy? and dried fruits?). Taste is sweet and light bitter, roasted malty again with coffee and chocolate. Medium to full body, oily, soft carbonation.

Pretty much my idea of a perfect stout. Smooth, heavy, comforting beer. I love it.
