COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Much like its legendary predecessors, this Yeti is big, bold and dark.  The addition of rolled oats softens Yeti’s notoriously roasty backbone and the small amount of raisins added in the brew kettle create a unique dark fruit character.  Just as admired as those that came before it, Oatmeal Yeti Imperial Stout is a softer beast.

A smoothness added to the aggressive underbelly of yeti. Wow! The backbone of yeti is so good, it’s hard to imagine an incarnation of yeti to be nothing but a delicious brew. Expect the same motor oil black pour with tons of flavor, aroma and a subtle smoothness added by the oats...there is almost a really really faint malt tartness...acidulated malt? does anyone else notice this??

Bottle, bought @Systembolaget, Hyltebruk. Pours completely opaque black with a large, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma has lovely dense roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, licorice. Plenty of hops too, citrus and pineapple zest. Medium carbonation, mellow and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has good fat oats, coffee, licorice. Quite a hard vinious notes detract. Plenty bitter and warming finish.

Bottle at Ølbutikken. Pours an opaque black with a small off-white head. Sweet and dry with aromas of chocolate and hints of vanilla and lightly toasted malts with hints of a warming alcohol sensation. Medium to full bodied. Soft carbonation. Dry finish.

Bottle from Happy’s Market, Ellensburg; bottled Jun 19 2014
Black color with thick brown head. It has just a good aroma, with some dark chocolate, rye bread, biscuits and hops, but the flavor is fantastic, rich, chocolately; the mouthfeel is moderately sweet but the body is lean; the hop adds a lot of quality, freshness, fruitiness; the final has also a light coffee note.
Excellent.

2014 bottling. Pours black with a finger of chocolate milk head. The aroma feels more or less like a slightly subdued version of the normal Yeti. Roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, truffles and a hint of alcohol. Full bodied palate, on the sweet side with smooth texture and a long, pleasantly bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The aroma is burnt malt, molasses, coffee, chocolate, and dark fruit. The appearance is super dark with a thin head. The taste is super bitter and goes from almost sweet to totally dry in the finish. The palate is smooth. Overall way to astringent for me!

Flaska köpt på Systembolaget. Elegant doft med toner av choklad. Kroppen är tunnare än förväntat. Smaken går i samma tecken som doften med en lätt rökig ton. Får lite sötma av russinen. Avslutningen är kort. Mycket snygg! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark pour with small head. Strong fruit and raisin aroma. Flavor profile is the same. Roast and raisin are really strong with a boozy finish. Enjoyable, but I’m not overly fond of the strong raisin flavor. Chewy, chewy and chewy.

Bottle. Pours black with a frothy and creamy brown head, with good lacing. Aroma is roast, chocolate, and coffee and malt with oats, dark fruit with earthy Tones. Flavor is dark malt, milk and oats, dark fruits, medium hops and moderate bitterness, some alcohol presence and a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation.could be my favorite yeti yet.

Dark black in color with an off-white head. Quite sweet, roasted aroma. Mellow, buch rich and sweet; some coffee character, light dry fruit (raisin). A nice version of this beer.
