COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Much like its legendary predecessors, this Yeti is big, bold and dark.  The addition of rolled oats softens Yeti’s notoriously roasty backbone and the small amount of raisins added in the brew kettle create a unique dark fruit character.  Just as admired as those that came before it, Oatmeal Yeti Imperial Stout is a softer beast.

It is a well blend aroma of oatmeal, raisins, and roasted malts. It is colored black with a rich chocolate brown head that slowly dissipates. A very rich taste with some bitterness that blends the oatmeal and the malts well, with a hint of the raisins. Definitely one of my favorites.

10 oz pour at Tyler’s Apex. Good aroma. Sweet roasty. Chocolate, coffee, the dairy thing I get from oats. Dark orangy brown color. Good initial head faded quickly. Little to no lace. Sweet bitter flavor. Thick body creamy viscous oily mouthfeel. Sweet bitter finish. Good as always with the yeti. Oat gives a extra chewiness. Flavor best part for me. But it’s all good.

Bomber. Clear dark reddish brown with a big foamy, chocolate brown head at first that becomes a small brown head on the sides; laces well. Aromas of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, oats, dark fruit, and coffee. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, oats, raisins and light vanilla notes on the end. Full bodied, smooth, lingering roasted malt and raisin. Sweet front with a bitter, roasty finish.

Bottle. Pours a deep black color with a thick, frothy tan head. Roasted oat aroma with raisins, smoked malt, Milk chocolate as well. Amazing flavor. Probably the best version of the Yeti I have had. Milk chocolate flavor with roasted oats and malt in the background. Unreal balance. Not overpowering but still punching you in the face. I love the Yeti line but this is the best.

Strong alcohol aroma of raisins and chocolate. Very smooth flavor, not the strong alcohol in the aroma. Chocolate, roast and raisins blended together into a wonderful mix.

09.06.2014, 0,65l bottle @ home:
Big brown creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly rich and sweet roasted, dark malts, roasted grain, chocolate, burnt caramel, coffee, rye bread, rubber, hints of licorice. Taste is sweet roasted, dark malts, roasted grain, sour coffee, grass, hops, dark sugar, ashes, burnt caramel, bark, rye bread, hints of unripe banana. Longlasting bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Nice, but too burnt as usual...

As the description states, a bit lighter than the other Yeti’s. However, still very big, complex, and flavorful.
