4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber, thanks Brenn79. Bottled 6/24/13; about three months old; I really wanted to age this but Iím getting low on shit to rate! Aroma is strong in (descending order) chocolate, leather, molasses, licorice. Pours opaque black with a one finger tan head that recedes after a minute, leaving a ring of foam. Taste starts out sweet before turning bitter. Definitely roasty, as described. Unlike most of the Yetis in this series, the bitterness isnít out of hand. A little vegetal, but itís not all that bothersome. I get the raisins, but if I hadnít had just read the label, I wouldnít have guessed they were in there; theyíre very much in the background. Oily mouthfeel, full body. Definitely my favorite Yeti yet. The relatively toned-down bitterness is very much welcome, although itís still pretty fucking bitter for a sweet stout style. Addendum: the raisins become prominent after it warms up.

Very thick dark with a thin layer of khaki head. Smells of chocolate, coffee, some oatmeal. Thick full mouthfeel, lots of chocolate coffee and oatmeal, decent amount of bitter. Finishes with some bitter and oatmeal taste. Good combo of flavors. Warming and great winter drink.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled June 25, 2013 (~5 months old).
Appearance: The body is pitch black, no light visible whatsoever. The head takes a hard pour to coax out, but itís a vivid brown with a dense body. The head doesnít stick around long though, it forms a sparse coaing with a foamy ring.
Aroma: The aroma is prominent with raisins with a mild dark chocolate presence complimenting it. Sweet chocolate and a very small hint of brown sugar is noted upon swirling. I get a slight marijuana presence as it warms more.
Taste: The taste is similar to what I remember of regular Yeti, skewed towards piney hops with a big malt base behind it. The flavor is a bit muddy throughout though with nothing prominent, some brown sugar and malt sweetness, but nothing pops out. The hops provide a mild piney bitterness towards the finish while some chocolate sweetness with malt sweetness linger a moment on the finish.
Palate: Thick, chewy and mildly carbonated.
Overall: Ah man what a disappointment. I get very little flavor and aroma other than a muddy blend of non-descriptness. Nothing pops and I feel the oats hide the base beer a bit.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber 2013. Black with a nice mocha creamy head that fades to a colourful ring. Nice roast malt presence, some of chocolate, oatmeal and grains come through more then normal but not overwhelming, overall seems more mild but still lots of of flavour; smooth, full body, moderate carbonation, bitterness is nicely balanced, booze is extemely well hidden except for a very slight presence on the finish, which has typical yeti characteristics but a little smoother then normal. Overall I would call this a clear winner and I hope this becomes regular addition to the line up.

Black with a creamy tan head. The aroma was nice with roasted malt, chocolate, some cocoa and toffee. Similar taste. Also some fruit and licorice. Almost a full body on this one. The mouthfeel was creamy. Once again a lovely Yeti.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very dark brown pour, brown head. All the yetis are good, this one has some nice creamy notes from the oats, fruitier than I remember past regular or oak aged yetis.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Appearance: syrupy black pour into a snifter, with a scant ruby-purple fizzy head quickly vanishing; no lace, but plenty of legs. Aroma: bittersweet bakerís chocolate, licorice, wet pine, soy sauce, smoke, pumpernickel, and a hint of port. Taste: roasty chocolate, coffee, leather, cream, a hint of raisin-cherry booze, leather, and resin. Finish: smooth, slick, and full, with a slowly building alcohol warmth and a syrupy red wine note. Notes: So excited when I saw this bottle--didnít know a new Yeti was due. Donít detect much oatmeal in the flavor, but the palate is definitely richer, fuller, and smoother than the traditional version, which is saying something. The raisins are surprisingly prominent in the aroma and flavor, although not detractingly so. This is quite a nice beer on its own, and a worthy addition to the hallowed Yeti pantheon.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle courtesy of tkrjukoff. Pours velvety dark blackish brown with a small creamy dark mocha head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is malty with roasted malts, peppery wood, burnt cookies, dark roast coffee, bitter chocolate, burnt grains, dry wood, pine needles, hay and hints of resin and oatmeal cookies. Taste is bitter and malty with roasted malts, burnt cookies, pine needles, resinous wood, dark roast coffee, bitter cocoa powder, salty liquorice candy and hints of soil and burnt grains. Mouthfeel is round, velvety, fat, soft and near full bodied.
