COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Orabelle is brewed with barley, wheat, and rye. This Belgian-style tripel is a golden beauty. Its two yeast strains, orange peel, and dash of corriander impart suprising complexity and richness to this delicate ale. Don’t let ORABELLE’s nature fool you, this is one flavorful brew. Watch out, she’s a charmer- one sip and you’ll be in love.

Bottle from Market Square liquors. Murky yellow pour with a thin white head. Aroma is straw, pepper, clove, yeast. Tripel tastes with orange blossom, citrus zest, funky yeast, wheat, pepper. Pretty nice.

a bit hazy, yellow orange appearance with a small white head. Spicy, wheat/cereal malty, vanilla, very spicy yeasty, light banana aroma. Juicy banana/lemon, prickly spicy yeasty, thick citrus peel, coriander, chewy bready, big sweet wheat malty flavor.

Cloudy orangish pour, white head. Tripel or imperial blue moon? I really felt as if I was drinking a jacked up blue moon. It looked a lot the same and tasted a lot the same. Dont get me wrong, it was better than a blue moon, but not by tons.

Bottle. Nose heavy on orange peel with some coriander, there’s bright citric malt and classic peppery and floral Belgian tripel yeast. Hazy bright yellow sun body with a clingy bright white head. Taste is lightly bitter, slightly more sweet, a little too heavy on the coriander with beautiful slow-build warmth in the back of the throat after the lemon and heavy orange peel have started to pass. Yeast character is nice here, really clean but with pleasant pepper and floral notes. Full body, alcohol seems more like 6.5-7% than 8.3% bv, and I can see myself buying this often in the future; something of a straightened, Americanized tripel (and that doesn’t mean heavy hopping), but a delicious one!

I just had a New Belgium Trippel before this so this should be interesting. Orabelle pours a hazy, light orange color with very little head. Aroma is not impressive and the typical Belgian notes are lacking. There are faint hints of yeast, coriander and maybe some lemon but overall everything is very bland. Taste follows the nose but there is a sort of chemical taste and this is not what I would expect in a tripel. It tastes more like a high abv hefeweizen. The body is medium and the slightly bitter aftertaste does not linger long. The New Belgium Trippel was a better beer in my opinion but I hate saying anything negative about Great Divide because they put out some top notch beers (The Hercules DIPA is excellent).

The aroma is a little faint with some spice coming through. The pour is a cloudy gold with a thin white head that leaves some lacing. The flavor is slightly subtle as well for a triple. It’s very smooth and easy drinking at 8.3% but there just isn’t that awesome explosion in taste. It’s a solid beer but just not one of the better triples that I’ve had.

Yellow color with a fizzy white head. Orangey nose with some coriander spice and yeast. Traditional tripel flavors of bitter orange peel, coriander, spice and yeasty bread dough. Tingly on the tongue with a strong alcohol sense to it. Very nice tripel.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity with a little Belgain yeast. Flavor is about the same fruity and sweet candi sugar to start with some Belgian yeasty esters left after the swallow. This was decent but a little too much sweetness.
