COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Orabelle is brewed with barley, wheat, and rye. This Belgian-style tripel is a golden beauty. Its two yeast strains, orange peel, and dash of corriander impart suprising complexity and richness to this delicate ale. Don’t let ORABELLE’s nature fool you, this is one flavorful brew. Watch out, she’s a charmer- one sip and you’ll be in love.

A hazed golden belgian ale with a thin white head. In aroma, nice candy sugar over bananas, cloves, coriander, and kight sulfur notes. In mouth, a nice smooth herbal fruity malt with cloves, bananas, coriander, classic and restrained. Bottle from Total Wine, Boca Raton, 1.99$.

12 oz. bottle. Bottled 12/31/12. Pours a minimal white head, over a cloudy, yellow (SRM 3) body......nose is light honey, light citrus (orange), coriander, clove......taste is slightly sweet throughout, light citrus, coriander, clove, hints of honey, finishing with a moderate bitter bite.....mouth feel light of medium, alcohol very present and has a neigh on fusel bite, carbonation low. This has many qualities of a Tripel, but also some major misses. First it does not have an appropriate appearance, with a minimal head, cloudy body, and lack of effervescence. Next, while both aromas and flavor are more or less in style, except for incredible sweetness, the mouth feel is way off with the alcohol much too apparent in both harshness and heat. Alcohol in a Tripel is supposed a kind of sneaky, not grossly obvious thing. BJCP 7/2/14/3/7

12 oz bottle pours a pale golden/straw color with fair white head but not much lacing. Aroma is everything I expected from a classic Belgian White: Orange peel, coriander, wheat, earthy yeast. (nevermind that RB calls it a Tripel). Taste is slightly bitter. Body is medium. Alcohol is very well hidden - I thought it was more like 5.5%. This one is very drinkable and refreshing and one I will definitely try again.

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a finger of fine white head. Good retention and plenty of thin lacing. Aroma is fruity, ester, banana, yeasty. Flavor is citrus, fruity, slightly tart. Fading into mild malt, wheat finish. Very slight bitter that lingers. Very fruity and sweet throughout. Soft carbonation, medium body, smooth texture, and a slightly crispy dry finish. Strangely it is even better than I remember on tap. Not necessarily authentically belgian, but a very good beer with strong belgian yeast influence.
