Poured a golden straw hazy color with 1-to-2 fingers of white head. Minimal lacing. Average retention.
Had to work for the smell, but then got orange peel, cloves, light banana, honey, Belgian spices and caramel.
Tasted a little less Belgian than the smell and a bit more citrusy fruits. Got orange peel, coriander, citrus hops, wheat, orange, honey, cloves and some Belgian spices.
Light body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Longer finish. Certainly did not taste the 8.3 percent.
Overall this was a very nice Belgian beer.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a hazy straw color with a quickly dissolving head.
Aroma malty and spicy.
Taste is light for a tripel but very much Belgian. Pilsener malts and coriander dominate flavor profile with light malt and spicy lemon notes.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle shared. Poured a light hazy yellow color with minimal white head. Nice Belgian yeast aroma with mild funk and some Brett. The flavor is very nice some sweet malt with the Belgian esters. Mild funkiness in the flavor. Overall not bad for an American Belgian. I would drink this one again.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap. Poured yellow with medium head. Aroma grassy and floral. Chewy rose, sweet but complex enough to score big.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a cloudy straw golden with a thick, fluffy off-white head that settles slowly to a thick ring and leaves heaps of lace. Nose involves some sharp lemony citrus, definitive briny coriander spice, pastry dough, a touch of pine forest, some rustic bread, a bit of mimosa. Pretty sweet, fairly tart, slightly bitter. Toward full bodied, creamy, soft, with a lengthy tart and spicy finish. I’m a little torn with this. I like parts of it (appearance, body, citrus aspects of aroma), and I’m not a fan of other parts (competing flavors, f-ing coriander). I think this would make both a good mimosa and a good chelada. Is that fucked up? I put coriander and lemon (or lime) juice in my bloody marys, and this beer makes me want to put hot sauce in it for some reason. I think it’s incredibly drinkable at its size, and the complexity is fair though I wish it was more yeast driven and less added spice driven.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a rich medium yellow with quickly dissipating white fizz. The aroma is bold bright orange and lemon citrus with hearty pale grains and a Belgian flair. The flavor is similar with a solid dose of coriander coming in and a westmalle tripel flavor, some bubblegum and banana in with the Belgian musty fruitiness. Nice brew, soft but very rich with a moderate carbonation that bolsters the sweet grains. Good beer, especially for a 6 pack.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Hazy pale with ring and little lace. Fruity banana yeasty esters and a little coriander spice. Pineapple sweet fruitiness with herbal spicy dry finish with a little citrus. Fairly well attenuated medium light body. Very good but doesn’t need so much coriander.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Cloudy gold with a short white head. Fruit notes abound with lots of yeast, candy notes, sweet malt, flowers and spice in the aroma. Taste is candied citrus, ripe fruits, yeast, sweet malt, flowers, grains and spice. Body is medium with a strong, prickly carbonation. Ends with more strong yeast, ripe fruits, candied citrus, soft bready malts, grains spice and flowers.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
1/31/2014: Great Divide Orabelle... Trademark Beligan Tripel spiked with too much coriander; far too sweet for my preference; strong, but the alcohol isn’t completely obvious. Draught sample at Whole Foods in Mason, Ohio. Rating #175 for this beer.
