Orabelle is brewed with barley, wheat, and rye. This Belgian-style tripel is a golden beauty. Its two yeast strains, orange peel, and dash of corriander impart suprising complexity and richness to this delicate ale. Donít let ORABELLEís nature fool you, this is one flavorful brew. Watch out, sheís a charmer- one sip and youíll be in love.

On tap at Tapwerks. Pours a hazy bright yellow with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has light citrus, sweet grains, belgian yeast and a good amount of sweet grains. Flavor starts with sweet grains and light sweet citrus with some backing belgian yeast and light fruits.

Cloudy yellow with thin dissipating white head. Aroma of wheat, citrus, and spices. Taste is citrus with a complex of spices that are hard to pin down and floral notes. Light bodied. Itís interesting but not a particularly enjoyable flavor. Kinda reminds me of drinking orange juice after brushing your teeth.

Type: 12-oz. bottle Glass: Westvleteen XII glass From: Bine & Vine Bottle Shop in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif. Price: $2.19 Purchased: Feb. 22, 2014 Consumed: Feb. 22, 2014 Misc.: Born on date of Jan. 15, 2013 Poured a golden straw hazy color with 1-to-2 fingers of white head. Minimal lacing. Average retention. Had to work for the smell, but then got orange peel, cloves, light banana, honey, Belgian spices and caramel. Tasted a little less Belgian than the smell and a bit more citrusy fruits. Got orange peel, coriander, citrus hops, wheat, orange, honey, cloves and some Belgian spices. Light body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Longer finish. Certainly did not taste the 8.3 percent. Overall this was a very nice Belgian beer.

Pours a hazy straw color with a quickly dissolving head. Aroma malty and spicy. Taste is light for a tripel but very much Belgian. Pilsener malts and coriander dominate flavor profile with light malt and spicy lemon notes.

12oz bottle shared. Poured a light hazy yellow color with minimal white head. Nice Belgian yeast aroma with mild funk and some Brett. The flavor is very nice some sweet malt with the Belgian esters. Mild funkiness in the flavor. Overall not bad for an American Belgian. I would drink this one again.

On tap. Poured yellow with medium head. Aroma grassy and floral. Chewy rose, sweet but complex enough to score big.

Pours a cloudy straw golden with a thick, fluffy off-white head that settles slowly to a thick ring and leaves heaps of lace. Nose involves some sharp lemony citrus, definitive briny coriander spice, pastry dough, a touch of pine forest, some rustic bread, a bit of mimosa. Pretty sweet, fairly tart, slightly bitter. Toward full bodied, creamy, soft, with a lengthy tart and spicy finish. Iím a little torn with this. I like parts of it (appearance, body, citrus aspects of aroma), and Iím not a fan of other parts (competing flavors, f-ing coriander). I think this would make both a good mimosa and a good chelada. Is that fucked up? I put coriander and lemon (or lime) juice in my bloody marys, and this beer makes me want to put hot sauce in it for some reason. I think itís incredibly drinkable at its size, and the complexity is fair though I wish it was more yeast driven and less added spice driven.

Pours a rich medium yellow with quickly dissipating white fizz. The aroma is bold bright orange and lemon citrus with hearty pale grains and a Belgian flair. The flavor is similar with a solid dose of coriander coming in and a westmalle tripel flavor, some bubblegum and banana in with the Belgian musty fruitiness. Nice brew, soft but very rich with a moderate carbonation that bolsters the sweet grains. Good beer, especially for a 6 pack.

Bottle. Hazy pale with ring and little lace. Fruity banana yeasty esters and a little coriander spice. Pineapple sweet fruitiness with herbal spicy dry finish with a little citrus. Fairly well attenuated medium light body. Very good but doesnít need so much coriander.
