COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Orabelle is brewed with barley, wheat, and rye. This Belgian-style tripel is a golden beauty. Its two yeast strains, orange peel, and dash of corriander impart suprising complexity and richness to this delicate ale. Don’t let ORABELLE’s nature fool you, this is one flavorful brew. Watch out, she’s a charmer- one sip and you’ll be in love.

12oz bottle, bottled 1/2/13. Hazy dandelion yellow color. Thin white head, decent lace. Orange citrus and floral nose. Awesome big zesty orange peel flavor (bigger than I’m used to from the tripel style), floral notes, light spice with a very enjoyable yeast character - not too belgian, not too little belgian. Just belgian enough. Very smooth, light crisp carbonation, lightly creamy texture, but a good, more dry finish. Zesty sweet taste, little bitterness, bit of umami. This is a fantastic tripel. Unique, tasty, easy to drink.. and $11 for a 6-pack!

Bottle from South Bay Liquor: Aroma is subtle with only a minor note of Belgian yeast and a whiff of alcohol. Appeared as a golden straw blonde with a hazy tint to the liquid while tiny formation of head broke down to small patches of bubbles. The flavor taste herbal and spicy with true authentic Belgian yeast and a firm body. Finish has a taste of pickled ginger. Good sturdy abbey tripel.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden-yellow with a medium-sized white head that nearly makes me feel like I’m drinking cheap beer. The aroma is nicely yeasty, but not overpowering. The flavor is slightly tart, slightly bitter, slightly sweet. Dry finish. The yeast profile should really be the mark of a triple and this one is very clean and the quality of production is almost unassailable. Very well done. Certainly better than New Beligum’s tripel. However, it might have lacked a tiny something in complexity.
