Good use of peach which adds a nice subtle flavor in the background. The problem is, there isnít a whole lot else going on. Not too harsh considering the ABV, but it is lacking the malty complexity that youíd want in a Belgian strong ale.

Pours hazy burnt orange color with off white head. Aromas of peaches, candi sugar and booze. Sweet peach flavor with some yeast and alcohol. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation. This one could probably use some time to mellow out.

Bottle at Ryan and Jodiís with friends. Pour is clear amber with a bg frothy white head and great lacing. Earthy, fruit skins, caramelly, bready, brown sugar, light alcohol, lightly yeasty, and waxy aroma. Taste is caramel, marshmallows, lightly phenolic, peach skin, white grapes, burnt sugars, and toasted bread with light heat on the backend. Full mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Decent stuff.

750 ml bottle packaged on 10/9/13 poured into a goblet. Crystal clear deep orange color with a meager white head that recedes leaving a creamy slick and a constant stream of the tiniest bubbles imaginable. Aroma is slightly murky/earthy stone fruit with some Belgian yeast spiciness and some booze. Flavor is fairly straightforward peach, reminiscent of Southern Comfort (I wonder why). Itís certainly sweet, but not cloying. Alcohol is well concealed, especially for something this strong. I know not everyone appreciates fruit beers. If you resemble that statement, stay clear of this one. This was a fairly expensive bottle at $21. Iím not sure itís worth that price, but I donít feel completely ripped off, either.

Slightly hazy orange pour with a white head. Aromas of boozy candied peaches and slight spice. Flavor is similar, the booziness fades as it warms and becomes nice and warming. A year or two in the cellar would probably do this one some good.

This one poured a hazy orange color with a white head. Aroma was of belgian strong, peaches and candied sugar. Flavor was similar, sugar covered peaches and belgian spice, booze is actually hidden fairly well.

Capped 750 from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours clear orange/copper with a white head. Aroma is peach, but sort of unripe peach. Some cooked malt under that. Med body. Flavor is peach, but the heat sort of gets in the way. Pretty interesting stuff, gets pretty malty towards the finish. Not exactly what Iíd expected/hoped. Think Iíll need some time to really work up an appreciation for this. Some time later: It has indeed grown on me. The heat is accommodated, the peach is becoming "suitable", and Iím feeling nice about it. Going up a couple points.

Bottle split with Pedro and Al. Pours clean amber with thick bubbly beige head. Aroma is apple juice, honey, peach, caramel. Medium body. Sweet and malty. Light peach flavor, caramel, apple. Smooth for the abv but not that enjoyable
