COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nomad is our spin on the classic Bohemian Pilsner style. The journey starts with German malts and Saaz hops that offer a lively floral nose and crispness, while a full 5 weeks of lagering time ensures that Nomad is eminently balanced. This Nomad may wander, but it’s got some serious roots.

12 oz. Bottle. Pilsener isn’t really my favorite style, but for what it is, this is a solid beer. Cat piss scent with grain mixed in (that’s what it smells like, cat piss). Hazy light yellow appearance with a foamy head and moderate lacing. LIght and silky mouthfeel. Grain, tortilla note up front with a slight berry finish.

12oz bottle from Crossroads Beer & Wine, Burlington, MA. A brilliant straw colour with a thin white head and moderate carbonation; subdued German hop aroma; the taste is more substantial though with a grainy body that’s just off sweet, and a decent showing of hops giving a lengthy bitter finish that’s slightly rasping and warming.

12oz bottle pours crystal clear gold with decent enough near white head. The light aroma offers up a mix of spicy to floral hops that are pleasingly not backed up by over sweetness like many of the style. The taste is straight up bitter spicy and floral hops forward and then winding down clean Pilsener malts that create space for a modest increase in hop flavor. Clean and refreshing and leaving a pleasing hoppiness into the after taste.

Pours like sunshine with brilliant clarity. A tall white head sits on top, billowing and fluffy and soapy. Not very dense. Carbs are light under the white head. This baby has summer lounging all over it. Aroma is pleasent also with Saaz coming to the spicy forfront. Lots of malts balances the hop well. Smells very clean too. Good tasting with the beer being crisp and hoppy and a biscuit finish. Smooth and clean and balanced perfectly. This is a well made beer and it tastes like it.

glennmastrange (1637) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - MAY 16, 2012
Bottle. Light to moderate grain and straw for the malt, herbs and lemongrass for the hops, with hints of white pepper, paper and raw cigarette tobacco. Head is small to average size, frothy, white with good lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is sparkling clear straw. Flavor starts faintly sweet and lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and bitter. palate is light to medium, watery with lively carbonation. A pretty straight forward and easy drinking Bohemian Pilsener.

Clear golden pour. Aroma of noble hops, corn, lager yeast. Medium bodied, lemony, corny, hoppy, dry. Very nice pilsner.

Bottle. Smells of faint citrus & hops, but mostly damp brewery. Color is nice enough for a lager, golden & fizzy. Thin white head. Taste is similar to the nose, nothing exciting for me. Palate is light, disappears quickly.

Bottle:   Clear straw, thin foamy white head, sparce lacing.   Strong hay and straw on the nose, barnish and musty.   No grassiness in this one.   Hay and straw on the tongue, slightly dry, a little astringent.   Not grassy nor sweet.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Has this wierd vegetable skin like finish.   I will say it is crisp, but otherwise it needs to be more grassy and a bit sweeter.

Straw with no head. Bready with pepper notes. Traces of hops and peach in the aroma. Clean, smooth taste with very faded peach and mango notes. Soft carbonation and s smooth mouth feel.
