Commercial Description:
A malty, copper-hued treat from start to finish, Ridgeline begins with a distinctive, estery aroma. Followed with a complex, nutty malt flavor true to its Scottish-style heritage, Ridgeline delivers unparalleled character and dimension. A touch of hops rounds out its silky, full body, highlighting Ridgeline’s subtle but engrossing character.

Bottle. Pours a hazy dark copper with a white head. Nutty, bready, caramel on the nose and tongue. Crisp finish.

12-oz., courtesy the kind hospitality of BitBucket, jr. Pours clear medium amber with moussy thin dirty-white head. Caramel and a little brown bread on the nose. Caramel and biscuit and toast and nuts on the mid palate. The body, though, is light, and that combined with a fairly light carb make for a weakish attack. Very little finish. Despite the attack and the finish (or maybe because of them), this is an ultimately sessionable bee5r--the mid palate is so delicious that you could easily knock these back over and over.

Pours a clear amber with a solid inch of off white foam. Good head retention, scattered webby lacing. Mild sweet malt in the aroma. Respectable but not exceptional malt flavor, with some caramel sweetness up front switching to a drier toasted malt in the finish. A little bit of nondescript hop presence in the finish. Not quite medium body, good carbonation. Very smooth, very drinkable.

Sweet almond aroma, with fruits. Reddish brown, small white head. Very fruity but yeasty and lacking any finish whatsoever.

Bottle. Pours dark amber with a moderate white head. Aroma is caramel, hazelnut, brown sugar, and a hint of floral hops. Flavor is the same, with the sweet nuttiness quite pronounced. Almost a dessert beer. Pretty good but not exceptional.

2006. 12ozbtl. Sweet aroma, rich with yeast, toffee, nuts, milk. Taste quite different, caramel, nuts, citrus fruit in the finish. Little better than average, though quite easy drinking.

bottle. Clear amber in color with a small compact off white head. Aroma is malty/caramel, faint floral hopals. Taste is malty and sweet, maybe some sweet dextrin malt in there as well as some light fruity esters. A floral hop finish with a very light bitterness. some nutty malt in the taste also.
