Somewhat malty flavor with distant roastedness and hints of berries (cranberry ?). Mild bitterness and light hop flavor. Very filling dextrinous palate and also a bit too carbonated. emacgee (1864), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 13, 2006 Fine amber ale with expected malty flavor. Dark amber color. I’ve had ambers, especially Speakeasy Prohibition, that had more hops---which is more to my taste. Slightly hazy. Nice amber; you can offer it to people who are new to US beers and might react negatively to the hoppier styles. sneagrams3 (1747), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 8, 2006 12oz bottle. Slightly hazy, bronze ruby hue. Spotty white head. Rich sweet caramel apple nose. Fruity with a slight citrusy aroma. Medium, but with a nice bitter malt flavor. Nice hop note. Slight cocoa. Finish has the bitter bite. But it’s short lived and replaced by the somewhat caramel cloying malt stickiness. gnoff (3568), Göteborg, Sweden

Fresh but soft sweet malty scent, with some hops. Rather thin body. Nice subtle bitterness. Fruity sweet malty taste. A little bit iron and sweet chewming gum. cheapdark (2015), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 23, 2006 Updated: Oct 8, 2006Unbelievably the best in my variety pack. Better tasting than the Titan IPA. Yeasty bread aroma. Does have a slightly different charactar than your typical pale ale. Very lively, no matter how carefully I poured, got a glass full of head. Just a little darker than your typical pale yellow american beer but not a dark beer. Was not clear and had little dark particles in there. As a secondary note: I was a bit dissapointed in my great divide variety pack, I couldn’t tell what I was buying and I was hoping at least for one dark style great divide, but not. However, If i’m to give a pale yellow beer a rating above 2, it’s good! Dogbrick (2855), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 21, 2006 Pours clear amber with a brown tint. Medium tan head with decent retention, and patchy lacing. Sweet malt and caramel aroma. Medium-bodied and malty with a light hops bite underneath. Some yeast is present too. The finish is mostly sweet with a light nutty and hoppy finish. Decent, but not worth going out of my way for.
