Commercial Description:
A malty, copper-hued treat from start to finish, Ridgeline begins with a distinctive, estery aroma. Followed with a complex, nutty malt flavor true to its Scottish-style heritage, Ridgeline delivers unparalleled character and dimension. A touch of hops rounds out its silky, full body, highlighting Ridgeline’s subtle but engrossing character.

Bottle. Pours crystalline amber with big off-white head. The aroma is light citrus and floral hops with some lemon cookie. The flavor is some cotton candy and various sweet, malty notes. It finishes with some mild hoppiness and a woody, kind of dry aftertaste (especially for as sweet as it is). Drinkable.

Sweet bread aroma, malty, with a touch of caramel. Hmmm, pretty good for an amber. Little dry, but well balanced.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a spare, frothy, off-white head, diminishing, spare lacing. Aroma is average malt (grain, toasted, nutty), light hops (grass), average yeast (dough, sweat) with notes of apple and vegetable. Light bodied, mineral texture, average carbonation and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

This beer was better than I expected. A hearty mouth feel with an orange flavor that accentuates a malt base. Nice and smooth. After working outside in 99 degree weather, this beer practically disappeared.

Clean amber color. Some lacing. Smell is a unique blend of sweet malt and fruit. A little bitterness, but it quickly fades. A little flat tasting. But, very easy to drink as it is quite smooth.

Light brown with a lingering thick head. Taste is close to medium bodied. Overall nothing that stands out, but decent enough for the style. Probably wouldn’t pick this up again, but it’s not horrible.

Poured the expected light brown with copper highlights and a fizzy white head that provided minimal lacing. The esters are noted in the aroma and some thin malt as well. The flavor was a bit of malt and some slight sourness. A true non-event. I have to stop buying these kinds of beers. Waste. Of. Time.
