Furseth (1328), Kungälv, Sweden Jul 29, 2007 Bottle. at the Rover,Göteborg/Sweeden. Hazy Red colour, nice head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, toffee, fruits,. Flavor was almost the same, but has also a kind of cocoa in the end. Smouth mouth feeling, light to medium body. Medium finish. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA Jul 23, 2007 Pours a gorgeous amberish copper color, with a nice thick off white decent lasting head with lacing. Smell is more of hops and some malts to back it, and is very nice, fragrant, and balanced. Taste is initially a subtle hop bitter bite, and finishes with a deliciously slight sweet maltiness. Nothing is overpowering and it is a very well balanced beer. My only complaint is that I wish it were a touch more carbonated as it would be even more refreshing and with a touch more bite. As is though, its very easy drinking, smooth, almost creamy and great balanced simplicity all around. DrHomolka (726), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jul 11, 2007 12oz bottle. Pours a pretty amber red color with a foamy white head and okay lacing. Aroma is very subtle. Weak honey smell is about all I pick up. Taste is smooth, watery, weak honey flavor. Somewhat malty with no detectable hops. Smells and tastes like most Sam Adams beers. Mediocre amber. wingman333 (233), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Jul 8, 2007 Bottle...bitter amber with nice color and huge foamy head. There was noticeable sediment, some large pieces in fact, that may have been unusual for this product. Still, a good beer overall. I may have overlooked Great Divide before, but this is the second sample I’ve had from them, and so far I’ve liked their products. Svesse (2601), Hässelby, Sweden Jul 6, 2007 (Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm 3 July) Copper colour with brief white head. Malty, nutty nose with notes of toffee and caramel. Malty, nutty taste with caramel, burnt almonds and a nice puff of hops in the medium long finish. Not exceptional, but tasty and very well balanced. kopher (296), New York, USA Jun 23, 2007 Hazy amber, small head. Roasted malty aroma, sweet caramel and slightly fruity flavor. Medium bodied and a bit sticky, but not much finish. rotoguru (93), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Jun 17, 2007 Clear amber, red, orange, brown pour medium head. Nose is very much raw grains just crushed. Same raw grain taste lightly sweet, as if the beer is still in the wort stage. Mid range amber that’s palatable. mkobes (2103), paramus, New Jersey, USA Jun 17, 2007 On tap at David Copperfields. Deep reddish copper in color with a little white head. Malty fruity aroma. Roasty caramel notes. Hoppy grainy flavor. Citrusy and grassy notes. Finish is malty. Medium bodied. Smooth. Decent beer.
