Orange-amber body, clear with an enormous soapy beige head. Bittersweet taste - very much like that of an ESB - focuses on the sweetish caramel with faint nuttiness in the bg. Touch of orange rind. Tingling mf, medium (but slightly light) body. Light floral hops last beyond the liquid phase. Simple little guy, no major flaws, but much more like a Brown Ale in my book. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 1, 2008 From 12-oz bottle, acquired from Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a semi-cloudy amber brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin white ring and some spotty lacing. Aroma of light roasted caramel malt, some flowery hops, a touch of roasted walnuts and fruit. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with a more caramel malt than hop bitterness or character. Finish is semi-sweet, with a nutty and fruity malt aftertaste. Chapel (330), Levittown, New York, USA
