mild citrus flavor with a creamy finish, caramel notes, average hoppiness for NW IPAs. Immanently drinkable. Would definitely buy again.

Bottle. Pours orange amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, caramel and had a hint of oak. Flavor was quite sweet with caramel, citrus, vanilla, piney hops and had some wood notes.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 bitbucket (2119) - Kirkland, Washington, USA - FEB 10, 2013
Bottle. A bit of a gusher, pours clear amber with a massive pale yellow head. Not much oak on the nose, mostly fruit and pine. Medium-full body, sweet and woody taste of caramel and citrus. Finishes a little hot.
4.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 JennyJam (39) - Wisconsin, USA - FEB 6, 2013
UPDATED: FEB 8, 2013 Silky smooth, subtly complex, delicious balance of gently aged sweetness and hoppy bitterness. I love this beer and eagerly await it every year!
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 yiorgios (4) - - JAN 29, 2013 does not count
Tasty. Minimal head, golden caramel color. Oak comes through but mellows out the hops a little much. Lost points on aroma and palate due to simplicity. Generally I enjoy great divide IPAs but the Oaked style may have tamed it a bit too much for me.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Jrwhitney6 (123) - - JAN 25, 2013
Pours a cloudy, apricot color. Some sediment floating around. Not all that attractive. Slightly understated IPA nose with some pine, floral and citrus. Taste is more bitter, woody and nutty than a typical IPA, and absent the citrus. Ok, but prefer other IPAs.

One of the least bitter ipas I have had, a lot of sediment in the bottom of the bottle which makes it cloudy
3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 rosenbergh (4762) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 18, 2013
355 ml bottle. Bottled Jun 11 2012. (Bierkraft) Brooklyn, NY.
Hazy orangey golden colour with small off-white head.
Sweet vanilla, bread, fruity hops, moderate bitterness and citrus in aroma. Flavour is dark fruity and piney hops, some citrus, quite strong bitterness, caramel sweetness and strong maltiness. Not very pleasant as the bitterness and dark hoppiness is quite edgy. Bitterness stays for a very long time.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 rollinsr (259) - Atlanta, GEORGIA - JAN 8, 2013
Pours amber with ample tan head. Aroma is a crisp and nutty pine citrus with some sweet honey notes. Taste is an interesting balance between sweet and bitter where the sweet honey caramel flavor tends to dominate the palate. The oak-aged quality of this brew is definitely apparent in the aroma but also adds a nice subtle touch to the overall flavor of the beer. This is a very unique IPA and a welcome change of pace.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 rumproasts (1193) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - DEC 17, 2012
bottle. amber with small head. mild hops for an ipa, perhaps they’ve been muted by the wood, but the wood seems muted itself. maybe a hint of nut, and maybe a bit more malt than i would have liked.
