Rumble IPA is an American IPA with subtle nuance. Brewed with heavy-handed additions of Pacific Northwest hops, this beer is gently aged on French and American oak resulting in a wonderful balance of bitterness, caramel sweetness, vanilla, and undertones of pine and citrus.

Pours a hazy, light orange amber color, with less than a finger of head that dissipates quickly. Smell has strong citrus hops, a bit of pine; caramel malts and light vanilla/oak tones. Taste is very sweet– pineapple from the citrus hops really comes out here, bolstered by the oak. Bitter finish to balance. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, smooth.

12 oz bottle, perhaps 6 months old...generous ivory cream with a sticky and aromatically hoppy lace...the kind that you could leave on the glass and then scrape off the next morning and butter your toast with...fairly spicy hop come aroma with resiny sweetness that tickles the nose and then turns slightly bitter as the tickley sensation wears off. Smooth, creamy palate that retains a hint of oak and citrusy-hop notes...most of the stronger hop flavours have mellowed, but unlike many stronger IPAs, this has not turned overly sweet. A solid beer at this age...though I wouldn’t let it go any longer...and it is better fresh!

Very similar to the Titan IPA made by Great Divide, but with a much richer texture in the palate and a more complex aroma. Nutty and carmel notes as well as citrus and some herb scents (thyme/sage) in the nose. Medium bodied, with a slightly slightly creamy palate, lively carbonation out of the bottle and a nicely balanced bitter finish.

Live Rate! Bottle from Sun Devil. Gusher! Pours a clear amber color with a frothy beige head that leaves plenty of lacing. Smells of nectarines and oak. Tastes of biscuity malt, orange rinds, vanilla, cheese, salt, and cream. Good stuff.

Gold body under a white head. Citrus hop aroma. Nice balance between the malts and bitter hops. I like what oak aging does to the stronger IPAs and this one is a good example of that.

Bottle. Pours an orange body with an off white head. Dry oak tones, a bit woody with pine y and citrus tones. Drying with a light caramel and wood body. Maltier and dryer then i like my IPA’s.

This was as smooth of an ipa as i have ever had. The oak aging must really have contributed to this. Enjoyable!
