3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours amber with ample tan head. Aroma is a crisp and nutty pine citrus with some sweet honey notes. Taste is an interesting balance between sweet and bitter where the sweet honey caramel flavor tends to dominate the palate. The oak-aged quality of this brew is definitely apparent in the aroma but also adds a nice subtle touch to the overall flavor of the beer. This is a very unique IPA and a welcome change of pace.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rated from notes taken 29 Sep 2011 -- Recommended by the dude at Beach Liquors. Not a hop bomb, but I really like the complexity between the sweet clean flavors and the strong hops.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle -
Aroma - light vanilla, brewed tea, medium aromatic hops, and a touch of toasted malt.
Appearance - clear, golden orange with a tight white head, decent retention and nice sticky lacing.
Mouthfeel - medium bodied, carbonation on the softer side...very smooth
Flavor - sweet, vanilla notes, grapefruit, a touch of oakiness and lemons on the finish.
Overall - a little too sweet/malt forward. I liked the wood aspect but the hops need to be amplified a bit more.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A good beer, but not the very best.
Pours a burnished copper with tight head dissipating slowly.
Aroma is a bit understated, but clear presence of resinous hops and a bit of pine.
Smooth on the palate with medium body. Lightly roasted character from the oak, but probably could have stood for a couple days more aging with all the malt presence softening its arrival.
Finishes clean for an IPA making this a great choice for a crisp fall evening.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
2014/10/10 - Pours a dark, burnt orange/amber colour with a thick, foamy, off white head. Moderate lacing. Aroma is caramel, mild toasted malt, light citrus and light pine. Taste is oak, caramel, vanilla, mild pine and a hint of citrus. Mouthfeel is oily, with biting carbonation and a woody, drying finish. Hop bitterness was lighter than expected, but this was still an interesting take on an IPA.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
It poured a red color with a small white head. The aroma was of oak, pine and earthy hops. The taste was similar with a light sweetness on the back end but it still finishes fairly dry. Tasty.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle sample at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks Ariel. Clear copper with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, a bit biscuity and caramelly and rather stale hops. Sweet malty flavor with some caramel, some wood and a bitter finish with stale hops. Medium-bodied. Sweet and stale.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours hazy amber thin tan head. Aroma of pine, vanilla, and citrus. Medium sweet taste. Medium body, thin texture, finishes with some bitter hop balanced with vanilla. Overall an interesting take on an IPA, a little watery in the taste, not bad overall.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(bottle - 12 oz) Clear orange with a thick white head. Oak sweetness and pine resin in the aroma. Flavor is bitter at the start with a good amount of hops but then a big rush of the oak sweetness in the middle. Some vanilla and toffee with a bitter and lingering hop finish.
