COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rumble IPA is an American IPA with subtle nuance. Brewed with heavy-handed additions of Pacific Northwest hops, this beer is gently aged on French and American oak resulting in a wonderful balance of bitterness, caramel sweetness, vanilla, and undertones of pine and citrus.

Poured from bottle into a "satan" beer glass. Transparent amber color with 1/2 inch of head. Smell: Slight banana, vanilla, floral hops and oak. Very pleasant. Taste: Like a normal IPA, except mellower. Moderate bitterness. Palate: Crisp and ends dry. Very good. IPA drinkers will enjoy this mellower version. You can probably enjoy more without your taste buds getting burned out like they do with normal IPAs. Those who usually avoid IPAs because of the bitterness should try this version out.

Pours dark amber with thick head. Smell is mostly malt with a hint of hops. Taste is a pretty even balance of malt and hops with notes of oak on the finish. Medium body, medium carbonation. Not what I expected rather boring.

Pours clear copper with a frothy, lumpen yellow-white head. Huge lacing and slow fade. Aroma is caramel malt, oak and some floral resin. Taste is oak, roasted caramel malt and muted bitter hops. Earthy, refreshing and very drinkable. This beer feels like it has more powerful citrus and hop notes lurking, but they never fully pop. Still, very pleasantly surprised - I could drink a few of these.

Not a bad IPA. I have been a little weary of their beers except for the Yeti’s! Everything I have tried in the 12oz. bottles has not lived up to my expectations!

Draft at Brunzies. Pours amber brown, small lacing head. Caramel and oak nose with some hoppy notes. Huge oak flavor, some nutty Catalan, grass, lemon and moderate bitter. Also bit harsh, but solid.

This is a very tasty IPA and the fact that it was aged in oak barrels gives the beer depth and a unique flavor. Delicious!

On draft at the Global Tap House. Snifter. Pours a cloudy orange with a thick white head. Lots of lacing. Aroma is fruity with citrus, peaches, mangoes, and nectarines. The taste is also a fruit explosion with the citrus and peaches most prevalent, mild bittering hops, some breadiness, great malt balance, and hint of mustiness. Finish is fruity, but not sweet. Mild IPA. You also get the oak on the finish the most. Moderate carb, medium body for an IPA.

Bronze pour, tight head that fades with scant lace. Nose is apricots and citrus. Bitter. Middle is creamy malt, citrus hops. Finish is orange blossoms, warming alcohol, medium spruce bitterness.

UPDATED: JUN 17, 2014 Pours somewhere between orange and copper. Small head with not much lacing, but the head stays around with lots of little bubbles. Herbal, somewhat sweet malty aroma; also floral hops. Flavor is very herbal, some bitter floral, grassy hop, and a nice malt backbone. Exceptionally well-balanced for all the bitter hop going on; mouthfeel is creamy without feeling heavy. Great carbo. 5 on the palate. Wouldn’t say this is quite sessionable - a little too strong for that - but worth savoring for sure. Flavor really lasts. Man this is good stuff. Better than Torpedo, which I kind of use as a benchmark for herbal IPAs. 6/17 UPDATE: Let this sit more in the fridge, and the vanilla and oak are coming out more than the herbal qualities. I was wondering why so few people described this as "herbal" when I did a search. My first sample was a little warm, which apparently brought out those qualities. Still an amazing IPA; not changing my rating, just explaining taste differences at different temps.

On tap at Brunzies. Nice sweet hoppy aroma, tropical fruit and honey, caramel and biscuit. Deep coppery amber clear with thin off-white lacing head. Medium-heavy body with medium carbonation. Starts sweet and malty with apricot, tropical fruit juice. Sweet throughout, big juicy hop flavors but not overly bitter. Sweet finish with notes of coconut, oak, and vanilla. Light bitter after and smooth lingering fruity hops.
