Commercial Description:
Looking for something a little different? Brewed with rice and barley malts, Samurai is an easy drinking, unfiltered ale that changes the status quo for unfiltered beers. The addition of rice gives Samurai a slightly fruity, crisp, refreshing and clean taste. This is definitely not your everyday unfiltered beer.

Draught at GABF 2008. Cloudy yellow - white head. Wheaty, corn, citrus, light malty, light bitterness, crispy. Freshness. Boring.

On tap @ ESPN Zone Denver. Clear golden, grainy aroma. Lean firm palate of pale malts (I didn’t get anyyhting to suggest rice however), quite a bitter saazy-hop finish. Clean and crisp.

Bottle... Poured yellow/gold with a white head. Citrus aroma. Sweet and citrus fruits in thr initial flavors with some hops. Pretty mild and I guess it would make a decent session. Otherwise nothing going for this ale.

On tap at the brewery, slight hazy yellow hue, with a white head, grainy, corny, honeyed pale malt nose, with raw maltiness, kind of rice sweetness, with some fruity esters in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a light corny, honeyed pale malt character, with some faint fruity citrusy accents, with a mild flowery hop note, leading towards a sweet malty, light lingering hop bitterness finish.

Bottle: Poured a golden yellow with a white head. The aroma was fruity. The flavor was somewhat spicy, clean and refreshing. Overall, a decent brew.

Draught. High white creamy and lasting fluffy head. Hazy yellow body. Weak aroma of barley malt and fruit. Flavor is relatively sweet and fruity but unforttunately also pretty watery. Low carbonation and a short aftertaste.

Bottle pours a golden body with a light white head. Fruity esters some pear and citrus. spicy yeast but low etoh for great divide. Not there best.

Pours a cloudy yellow with a small frothy white sudsy foam. Sweet rice aroma with a touch of yeast. Taste is very modest, clean and light, a bit of sake with just a hint of hops. Light mouthful, nice fizzy sizzling fine carbonation, slight creaminess.
