Commercial Description:
Looking for something a little different? Brewed with rice and barley malts, Samurai is an easy drinking, unfiltered ale that changes the status quo for unfiltered beers. The addition of rice gives Samurai a slightly fruity, crisp, refreshing and clean taste. This is definitely not your everyday unfiltered beer.

Looks like slightly cloudy Heineken. There is a bit of fruity hops in the aroma and perhaps a hint of some belgiany yeastiness or breadiness. The flavor is uninteresting, a touch of caramel malt. I thought this was a lager until I read the label more carefully. Pretty piss poor.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with big yeasties and a frothy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet musty soapy bready malts.

The flavor is pretty bland - a little sweet malt and a touch of fruits with a little grassy bitterness that leads to a dry finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and watery with some sharp carbonation.

Overall, a pretty bland offering from GD. There’s nothing offensive, but nothing really appealing about it either.

Bottle pours light golden and cloudy with a white head. Head dissipates fast. Has a slight aroma that doesn’t really remind me of anything. Its not real interesting. Has a light body and mouthfeel. Taste is not that impressive. Light beer flavor that is more watery than beer. Overall this is boring beer and not very inspiring.

Pours a clear yellow color which is a bit surprising considering it’s supposed to be unfiltered. Nice creamy white head. Aroma of light malt, hops and lemon. Has an ale taste with the crispness of a Japanese lager. Clean, slightly hoppy finish. Very drinkable.

A classic example of a beer’s name being the only thing it has going for it. The sweet rice undertone was a pleasant surprise, but overall the beer was thin, the aroma was flat and the flavor just wasn’t there... more aftertaste than taste.

Slight hoppy smell to it. Straight yellow in color. It almost tasted like a belgian. Half decent for a summer beer but nothing to write home about.

(Draft) Pours a hazy yellow body with a medium-sized creamy white head. Aroma of mustiness, sticky rice, wheat, and light floral/perfume. Flavor of cardboard, brown rice, lemon, and grain with a watery mouthfeel.
