Commercial Description:
Looking for something a little different? Brewed with rice and barley malts, Samurai is an easy drinking, unfiltered ale that changes the status quo for unfiltered beers. The addition of rice gives Samurai a slightly fruity, crisp, refreshing and clean taste. This is definitely not your everyday unfiltered beer.

Bottle. Pours a reallylight yellow;almost hoegaardenish. In terms of aroma there really wasn’t much. Light malts & Im pretty sure rice has little aroma. Decent mouth feel some light fruitiness. Clean & easy drinking but unspectacular as it was probably meant to be

This golden ale pours a slightly hazy yellow gold color from a 12 oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, touch of grass and some yeast. A light bodied blonde/golden ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, with some yeast and grassiness. The hops are mild and slightly spicy. A light bodied blonde ale. Very lovely looking, lively carbonation, with nice steady streams of tiny bubbles. Not as sweet as most blonde ale, in fact it finishes rather dry. A clean and crisp, light refreshing beer. Some but not a lot of flavor. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Clear coloured golden body with a thinnish tan head. Aroma of decent malt with just about nothing else. Medium-bodied; Strong malty aroma with some spice and not much else. Medium-bodied; Strong malty flavour with some spice and a decent amount of hops with very little else. Aftertaste shows some cardboard and a bit of spice with not much else. Overall, a decent beer with a mild malty taste. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 03-May-2008 on 26-May-2008 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Pours a very light yellowish gold with little to no head. A little maltiness on the nose but not much else. Actually pretty good taste. Crisp and clean with noticeable malt backbone. More than I would have thought based on the nose.

Bottle. Hazy, yellowish golden body with a white head. The aroma is a blend of malt and fruit, and that goes for the flavor too. Some bitterness as well in the flavor. The mouthfeel is almost watery. Judging from my description, it may sound as a really boring beer, but it isn’t. Ok, maybe a bit boring, but with a nice taste and quenching powers I could easily down a few if that was the choice. In a bottle at the Great Orlando Beer Festival. It pours a sharp yellow color with a crisp hop and rice aroma. It almost tasted like a dry chardonnay, I did not like it. It tasted like a rice beer, and lacked any depth.
