zebracakes (1214), Washington DC, USA Dec 31, 2007 12 oz. bottle purchased at D’s Six Pax. Pours hazy corn gold, white head. Aroma is sweet malt, grass, grain, rice (?). Flavor is grassy, bitter hops, wheaty. I can’t really detect the rice, perhaps it is part of the sweet element. The beer is nicely balanced between bitter and sweet. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Dec 30, 2007 Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a semi-clear golden pale yellow brew with a thin and fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a thin white ring and no lacing. Aroma of light bready malt, some flowery hops, a touch of pear fruit and some herbs. Taste is light bodied, light carbonation with flavors of white bread malt, some fruity pear character, and floral hops. Finish is light, semi-sweet fruity with some pear aftertaste. ChainGangGuy (2523), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Dec 24, 2007 Appearance: Pours a clear, yellow body with a thin, wispy white head.
Smell: Very lightly malty, sweetish aroma with notes of flowers, sake, and white bread.
Taste: Well, it’s just what the aroma would have you expect of the taste. Light, sake-like fruity flavor with a drop of honey sweetness. Floral and bready hints. No more than a light bitterness. Finishes crisp and clean.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: It definitely would make for fine, summertime drinking and wasn’t too bad on a grimey day in mid-December, either. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 23, 2007 Bottle.
Pours a clear light yellow-gold body with a large sudsy white head. Aroma has some brackish grains, hay, and herbal hops.
Very drinkable and quality for this weak style with that herbal hop character and decent cereal/cookie malt underpinning. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Dec 23, 2007 Date: 12/22/2007

Dorwart (1807), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA Dec 22, 2007 Thin bright white head of varying sized bubbles. Light and crisp aroma with some lemon, cereal , grainy notes and a bit of pale malt. Color is a bright gold. Quite refreshing. Light malts and rice. Bit of lingering spicy notes that are hitting my quite nasally. Strange. Cereal and a bit of dry bittereness at the finish. An ok brew but not one that I would seek out again. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Dec 22, 2007 Pours a pale champagne golden with a wispy-lacing white head. Slightly grainy pale malty nose has a touch of noble hoppiness and adjuncts. Body starts somewhat full for the style and mildly sweet with an earthy piny bittering hop balance. Finishes smooth and bittersweet. A decent blond ale, but not one of my favorite styles. Strykzone (1459), Wood River, Illinois, USA Dec 20, 2007 Yellow gold body with a big white head and an aroma of a pilsner. Flavor is bitter grass and sake. Something different? Yes, but not particularly something real good.
