COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Looking for something a little different? Brewed with rice and barley malts, Samurai is an easy drinking, unfiltered ale that changes the status quo for unfiltered beers. The addition of rice gives Samurai a slightly fruity, crisp, refreshing and clean taste. This is definitely not your everyday unfiltered beer.

Draft, served in a tall thin glass, what the bar called a "Strange." This was quite a bit fruitier than I had thought it would be - poured a very light and refreshing-looking yellow-orange, bubbly aroma of rice that put a very sweet tinge on the entire experience. I really like the color of this beer, but the glassware really left something to be desired, and didn’t do justice to this beer. Overall, it was refreshing, but I didn’t think it had what I really like about a Golden Ale - it was just too sweet in a ricey-grainy sort of way.

La cerveza lleva arroz, lo cuál si uno bebe cerveza industrial ya consume, pero aquí se dice, "rice ale", y está bien, es agradable, tiene un toque a naranja y es ligera de beber, curiosa, interesante, fácil

Something must have changed. Older posts each describe this as "hazy" yet what I’ve poured is crystal clear…wait poured last ounce once the head settled & there is the haze. Bottle poured light hazy yellow hue with a slowly diminishing bright white head and good lacing. Light aroma of grain and mellon. Initial flavor very light sweet with a long bitter finish. Great beer to pair with food.

Pours very clear pale yellow with a small white head. Nose is melons, cherry, peach and corn syrup with a slight woody ginger note. The taste is ultra sweet, not enough bitter to balance it out. The mouthfeel is crisp and clean, body is light and the finish is long.

Slightly nutty, very crisp, and goes tremendously well with Japanese food. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Non-descript hazy straw color with some fruit. Perhaps it’s the power of suggestion, but all I can taste is rice--which isn’t as bad as it sounds. Nice palate, easy to drink. Obviously not for everybody, but I found it to be interesting and pretty good.

Backlog rating. There’s a joke about rice and BMC waiting to be made here. Oops! Hazy straw gold pour, with crisp carbonation. Light tartness in the nose along with yeast and dry hops. Mouthfeel a bit excessive, but it helped camouflage some seriously boring flavors. Cereal grain, modest spice, and not much else going on. Expected better from GD.

Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a medium white fizzy head. Aroma and Taste is citrus fruity, yeast, grains, rice with some mild citrus floral hops. Palate is a medium body with moderate carbonation, slightly crisp. Finish is citrus fruity notes, grains, yeast with some mild citrus floral hops. Overall an ok brew.

Pours hazy, amber-gold with soapy, off-white head. Scent is light fruit, barley, rice... Taste is fruity, sweet...strong rice flavour... Rice as ingredient and not just as filler....it works... Light and refreshing.

Light and hazy look, not much head. Aroma of fruit/citrus. Taste is pretty unremarkable - light with a little hops in the aftertaste. Nothing offensive, but not something I’d go out of my way for.

Hazy pale straw yellow color, fluffy white head. Light acidic fruity scent. Sweet, acidic, herbal taste. Sweet, cream, herbal aftertaste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.
