Cloudy straw golden with some floaties and a one finger white head that faded to a film before too long. Is this supposed to be a pale lager only using ale yeast instead (and not lagering the beer)? Aroma does have some fruity qualities, as well as light citrus and grassy hops, some white rice and grain, and that’s about it. Flavor is the same with just a touch of bitterness. The sweetness never got to be too much at all. Light body with moderate carbonation. I wouldn’t have a problem drinking this on a hot day, so long as the price tag was right. emacgee (1892), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA

Flavor shows light cereal and a slightly harsh bite. Don’t know where that comes from. The palate is light and crisp. Easy to drink. nearbeer (1887), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 7, 2007 A nice golden ale. Aroma was so so with a hint of sweet malt and not much else. Pour was a light gold with a thin white ring for a head that didn’t stay around long. Taste was unoffensive and sweet. Tastes like a sweet Budweiser. If this was very cold and I was at a picnic it couldn’t be beat. I find it odd this is a summer seasonal and it just popped up now in December in Pittsburgh. mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 7, 2007 Pours a bubbly clear, very light gold with a medium, but well-retained white head. Not crazy about the smell. Really skunky and grainy smelling. No sembalnses of citrus or hops, but toasted grains. Not a good start. The flavor had more citrus flavor to it, and definitely was better than the smell. Still had a definite funky flavor to it too. Had a mild sweetness in the finish. Overall, skunky and bitter though. Disappointing. thegreenrooster (1853), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 23, 2007 Pour is a clody yellow with a white head. Aroma is a little citrus and biscut. Flavor is a bit citrus and some kind of grain. Fairly even and not something that is really exciting. I would compare this to a low profile wheat beer. Dorwart (1832), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 22, 2007 Thin bright white head of varying sized bubbles. Light and crisp aroma with some lemon, cereal , grainy notes and a bit of pale malt. Color is a bright gold. Quite refreshing. Light malts and rice. Bit of lingering spicy notes that are hitting my quite nasally. Strange. Cereal and a bit of dry bittereness at the finish. An ok brew but not one that I would seek out again.
