| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 13, 2009 Pours a hazy whitish gold (think wit bier), fizzy head diminishes into nothing very quickly. Aroma is predominately PNW hops, a bit of cotton candy, and a very slight veggie note. Flavor is well hopped, typical PNW piney tones initiate, followed by honey, mild toast, nuttiness, and a slight grassy finish. Does not have the typical adjunct flavor I would expect from a beer with rice in it. I like it. spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 6, 2008 Pours cloudy gold with a large white head, good amount of lacing. Aroma is herbal.
Tatses slightly sweet followed by a fairly strong, bitter hop flavor. Probably too hoppy for the style but made for an interesting beer. bleeng (601), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 8, 2009 Draft at the brewery. Very mild nose and bright yellow color. Mild crisp taste and very drinkable. I like this as a summer refresher. Beaver (600), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 30, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with big yeasties and a frothy white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet musty soapy bready malts.
The flavor is pretty bland - a little sweet malt and a touch of fruits with a little grassy bitterness that leads to a dry finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and watery with some sharp carbonation.
Overall, a pretty bland offering from GD. There’s nothing offensive, but nothing really appealing about it either. Rustyham (598), miami, Florida, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | May 30, 2009 This basically tastes like sake. It was neither fruity, crisp or refreshing. It was stinky, caustic, and tastes exactly like a two-dollar bottle of sake. No other way to describe it. Zeke’s Roadhouse, Miami Beach henry3r (586), Wichita, Kansas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 3, 2007 The 12 ounce bottle poured a slightly hazy golden yellow beverage with a small fizzy head that was mostly diminishing but left some lacing on the glass. The aroma had a hint of sour citrus fruitiness accompanied by an earthy mustiness. The body was medium with lively carbonation and a watery, astringent texture. The flavor starts out lightly sour and then, as it ages on the palate it takes on more of a light bitterness. At the end of the medium-long finish there is just a bit of alcohol warmth as well. milljam (584), Norman, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 8, 2009 Interesting.....and not really in a good. Had a light, almost pale ale like flavor, but the rice add something that is similar to a bad mass-produced lager, which is not surprising since rice is a widely-used adjunct. Did not like it. doubelknv3 (568), Illinois, USA
| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Jun 18, 2008 Tried on 2 different occasions from two different barrels...not a fan. Pale golden with thin head. Very light aroma, maybe a hint of sour fruit. Malty sweet, note of apricot fruit. Rice / fruit mix did not work for me. Dry, boring palate. Did not finish either pint.
