3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Imaena (848) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JAN 9, 2013
Bomber. This is a nice smoky porter that is not so intense that you smell like bacon for the remainder of the day. Saturday morning breakfast beer.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 zimbo (332) - SCOTLAND - JAN 7, 2013
Ridiculously huge bubbly light tan head. Beechwood fishy quality. Fizzy fuzziness. Needs better definition but nice enough despite it being a shade on the indefinite side
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 5, 2013
In bottle at Craig’s. Pours a very dark brown colour with a decent light tan head. Aroma of Beechwood smoked malt, chocolate, Weetabix and alcohol. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation, light CO2 prickle and a foamy mouth-feel.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 Gerardgathier (64) - - DEC 20, 2012
Black with beige head.
Rather thin and lacking smoke.
Still has nice caramel mocca taste with roasty malts
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Joakgust (588) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 18, 2012
Bottle, 65 cl - Semi hazy black red beer with a nice frothy head. Aroma is malty with notes of blue berries, caramel, chocolate and spices. Flavor is malty with notes of coffee, chocolate and some smoked malts. Shame this was discontinued. High hinkability yet still very full.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 artmcd8 (656) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 26, 2012
Purchased in November 2012 at a bottle shop. I guess it’s been aged a year since it was last brewed in 2011 and discontinued. Love the smoked smell. Not overpowering. Melds well with the sweet malts. Not as dark as I would expect, slightly watery.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 dutchbeerpages (1087) - Wilnis, NETHERLANDS - NOV 6, 2012
I had some great Great Divide beers before, this one isn’t one of those. Yes, there is smokiness and some hints of the Baltic Porter, but it’s thin and lacks too much of the nicer things in life and beer. Bottle from De Bierkoning, shared with Uckelman.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 uckelman (87) - Baden-Württemberg, GERMANY - NOV 6, 2012
Slightly smoky aroma and aftertaste. Not much smoke in the taste. Mouthfeel is thin for a Baltic porter, rather unsatisfying. Decent, drinkable, but not terribly notable.
