3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 WabashMan (931) - Noblesville, USA - JAN 31, 2012
Another tasty offering from Great Divide! A nice porter, on its own, with good roast and chocolate flavors. But these flavors aren’t as strong as they might otherwise be, to allow room for a nice, but not overpowering smokiness to linger throughout. Tasty!

Pours a dark brown with a brown head with an aroma of chocolate. Taste is well balanced, of roasted malt, hops, and chocolate with sweet, smokey and woody notes throughout and a dry, smooth, smokey finish. Great tasting and drinkable brew.

A dark as night pour with a nice mocha head. Nose is full of chocolate and burnt wood. Taste is fully chocolate with a smoky barbecue finish. Finish is somewhat dry, more full bodied and has a lingering malty chocolate finish. Nice ! Would try again. Quaff Sore 8

We were viisting our son in Columbia and he had a growler to taste. The smoked porter is new to me. This is good porter with balance. The nose had some smoke as it warmed up. The porter poured with a small head and lacing. Coffee also is among the taste you experience. The carbonation is soft. The finish is smooth with some hints of smokiness.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 calm_dreamer (10) - GREECE - MAY 13, 2012
Nice smoked pork, caramel and chocolate taste. Aroma of smoke and caramel. Medium-light body and mid-lasting aftertaste of a faint snoked caramel. Head goes away pretty soon. After some time when it went a bit warm there was a smell of alcohol for the first time. Generaly a nice snokey lager that goes dows easily and enjoyably.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 umich03jm (183) - Michigan, USA - MAY 11, 2012
This beer was better than I expected. Dark black pour with almost no head. Pretty nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is faint but nice. Roasted malt, chocolate and smoke. Taste is very very smooth. Nice mixed of roasted malt and smoke. Most smoke beers go overboard with the smokiness but this one doesn’t. Mouthfeel is a little thin but I don’t mind it here. This is a crisp, smooth, smokey lager that I would recommend trying.
