COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

bottle. looks amber-orange and the head... wow... almost like whipped cream sitting atop the beer in my glass. many underlying flavors behind the grapefruit aroma and flavor that just smacks you in the face. a somewhat piney dry bitter finish. a very good but not great IPA hop heads need to give it a try.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2005 Large frothy and creamy head of fine bubbles. Good head retention with light carbonation. Citrus, resinous and piney hops in the gloriously aroma. Little bit of buttered toast in there also. Color is a medium orange/amber. Wow. The first thing that hits me in the flavor, and in a big way, is a boatload of dry roasted peanuts. Very distinct. Again on the second swallow. Let me clarify. Taste distinctly reminds me of the red skins around the dry roasted peanuts. Bitter and dry and roasty all in one. Me likey! Plenty of hops and burnt biscuits. Little fruity at the finish with decent bitterness and a lingering dryness. Slightly sweet to offset the dryness in the body. A great IPA!

Bottle: Beautiful amber color, mostly clear, with a medium, creamy, light tan head that lasts. Aroma is pine/orange/grapefruit hops, with some hints of butter, resin, and bread dough. Medium bodied, creamy mouth feel, light carbonation. Taste is an interesting buttery earthy hops up front followed by orange, grapefruit, sweet lemon, corriander, tart caramel malt. Finishes with plenty of hop bitterness, and a grassy pine flavor.

Bottle - beautiful citrus hop nose, but orange rather than grapefruit. I love that!!! Deep orange body with an off white head. Terrific flavor! Hercules’ little brother ... and that is a good thing! Slightly fizzy palate. Just a beautiful beer. Would love to try it on draft or cask.

nice darker amber pour, with a frothy white sticky head. piney hop aroma, some sweetness. flavor is well balanced; good malt base, with nice pine/citrus hops towards the end. kind of resiny/full mouthfeel. a good ipa--great divide hasnt disappointed me yet

Hazy amber with a good off-white head. Sweet fruit doughy and something strange in the aroma. Palate is a bit sticky for an IPA. Not as good as rated.

Thanks to btg for the bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber. Medium sized white head, somewhat fizzy. Citrus and pine hop aromatics, with a malty sweetness. Piney nose, quickly enveloped by a big body syrupy malt flavor. Intermingling are muted citrus notes with a solidly malt framework. Finish fades to a crispness with a pleasing bitterness. Mouthfeel is full, perhaps a bit on the thick side.

bottle from brickskeller. aroma is a little nutty, but mostly piney hops. this is nice. the malt here is a nice balance for the hops. hops are a bit too piney, but otherwise a very solid IPA, better than i expected from great divide.

Amber colored with a medium sized off white head. Nice Citrus and pine hop aroma. Taste is mostly citrus and pine, balanced nicely with some caramel sweetness. A well done IPA
