Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

"WOW what an ipa and that is something for me to say. Poured nice orange color with an okay head which laced very well. The aroma was some hops pine and citrus. Perfect balance in flavor and aroma. some malts mixed with the hops. Good GOOD beer."

This is also very similar to stone IPA. Aroma is tons of citrus...but a bit of spicey sweetness too. The taste is great...crisp fresh grassy hops...grapefruit...and a bit of honey sweetness...but I guess that is probably the malt. Very well balanced. Only thing setting it apart from the higher rated IPAs for me is that it doesn’t have as clean of a palate/mouthfeel.

I finally got to have this. (This is the beer that we can never remember if we’ve had it or not when we go to the store). And now, finally had it at KPs. Was very good. Orangey-yellow color with lacey white head. Aroma has some pepper, lots o’hops, some orange and grapefruit, some pine flavor, and a little hint o carmel for the end. Very nice.

12oz bottle: Light amber orange color with big creamy off white head that really sticks around (almost looks like it was a nitro pour). Aroma has hints of corn, wheat, and a faint big of spicey hops. Flavor is a mouthfull of hops with a very stiff bitterness and a slightly metallic finish. Although it improves as it warms, it’s still rather lackluster.

12oz. bottle. Mildly hazy orange/amber color with a small off white head. PNW hop aroma with lots of citrus(orange and grapefruit), pine and a mildly sweet malt background. The flavor was quite well balanced for such a hoppy beer. The piney/citrus hops are still in the forefront, but there is also a nice caramel malt backbone that makes this a very enjoyable beer. Had trouble keeping it away from my wife.

THis is a good IPA. Strong hop aroma is well balanced by a mild maltiness and agressive hop bitterness. I like the fact I can get this beer in a large bottle. I am not a big hophead, but I do like this beer.

I like this IPA every bit as much as Stone’s. Just the right amount of hops. Nice head. Stays smooth all the way to the end. At $8.00 a sixer, a good value, too.

(Bottle) Purchased at Beers of the World in Rochester, NY. Pours a medium, creamy foam white head with a clouded, highly carbonated orange body. Nose of Hi-C grapefruit hops. Tangy, bitter hops burst across the tongue to dance the Hi-C dance and moon the malt glands. This is hopmadness at its finest! Damn - I need this beer to slap me around some more...

I wonder if I got a bad batch of this, because according to the other reviewers this should have been great. Alas, that was not to be. In fact, there were two bottles at the tasting and no one even bothered to open it! While it wasn’t bad, it definitely wasn’t above average so there is some dissappointment. Pours a reddish-brown-broze color with a small head. Aroma is the usual hops but there’s some pineapple in it that makes it a bit funky. A bit to grassy, too sweet and not very well balanced. Great for hopheads.

bottle. Titan is a cloudy copper hue with a dense white head and leaves pretty lacing as I sip. The aroma is floral indeed with pine and orange peel. Very bright flavor with tasty, spicy hops, just a bit of chalk, and this is balanced fairly well with a caramel sweetness.
