COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

UPDATED: MAR 9, 2006 The aroma is just as advertised with piney and citrus like hops. There is also some caramel in the aroma. The appearance is amber/red with a medium head that is very persistent. The flavor is enjoyable even if you’re not a big IPA lover. It’s bitter with all those elements from the aroma (pine, citrus, and caramel). The palate is fuller than many IPA’s. This is good even though it’s a little overrated here.

this is a nice ipa, i had it after the hercules so it felt like it needed a push but still solid citrus hops and flowering notes. crisp and refreshing easy to drink and good.

Although nothing here to surprise you, this is a great IPA nonetheless. Bitter hop bite, citrus flavors, it has everything you would expect, and nothing that you wouldn’t.

Part of my 17 Beer Sampler at the Brew Kettle. Orange/copper color with head, definitely tell it’s an IPA, big hop bite to it, pretty citrsuy like grapefruit with an alcohol kick to it, but very hoppy.

Bottle, at home. Dark orange with off-white head, almost diminishing, excellent lacings. Aroma, a heavy hoppy nose. Flavor moderate sweet, heavy to harsh bitter, long duration. Light to medium body, oily, soft carbonated.

Bottled. Pours a clear copper color with a white head- good lacing. Pine and grass aromas along with some oranges and malt. Very resinous palate. Flavor is oranges, pine, grapefruit and sweet. Strong bitterness. This would do fine as an everyday beer around my house.

Bottled 12-8-05.Very nice resinous hop aroma and flavor with a solid crystal malt and company backing.Tropical hop(grapefruit, pineapple) aromas and flavors of tangerine and mango as it warms(reminding me of IIPA’s).Very drinkable.Has a bit of that Avery IPA vibe minus the Styrian Goldings and a cloying malt character. This is one of the best Colorado IPA’s ive tried.Purchaed at Ronies bev Forest Hill,MD.

(Bottled the Second Week of November 2005) Six packs of this elixir just hit the shelves of my neighborhood store for $9.49. The bouquet is very green and the palate is very green also. Unfortunately, the head and lace are lackluster. The palate is very fresh, hoppy and earthy. This beer is all about the hops, because the hops dominate this beer on all sides

Bottle. Cloudy, orange/gold pour. Floral and citrus notes on the pour. A mellowed hoppiness, but definately an IPA. Refreshing and biting, very pleasent and balanced. Thanks Beervana for the bottle.

Pours with an orange amber body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. Slightly sweet yet bitter and hoppy with a nice grapefruit and pine note. Medium bodied, smooth and dry.
