COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Bottle. Dark golden amber with a good sized creamy white head. perfumey resiny hops and mild alcohol presence in the aroma. Oddly resiny flavour profile with a mild leafy celery quality that once notied seems to grow exponentially in both the aroma and flavour as the glass goes one, presumably aided by warming. Smooth but average palate. Very interesting, and not a conventional IPA. I think this was from Probiere.

Cloudy orange color/amber color with a hoppy aroma. Taste is heavy on the hops with a citrusy aftertaste. Decent IPA. Definitely drink this again.

This is a very nice IPA that clearly subscirbes to the more-is-more theory of hopping (Iím guessing Chinook and Cascade). Nice floral aroma, big grapefruit flavors. Very bitter but well balanced. I liked this much better with food (think bold and spicy--it was great with BBQ) than on its own.

Bottle: Hazy yellow with small creamy head which dissipates quickly. Nice lacing. Good initial hop aroma, a distinct fuit came through after a second smell. Mouthfell is almost perfect, very well balanced , ibuís come through near the end. Hints of lavendar, lemon and other fruit near the end. Alch is almost not noticable. Very well done

Poured a light copper with an off-white head that laces nicely down the glass. I couldnít get much on the aroma, but it could just be my allergies. I did detect some citrus and notes of pine. Itís a little sweet on the tongue, with a nice clean crisp hop character. Citrus, pine, sweet malts, and light fruit on the tongue. Nice lingering aftertaste. This is a good IPA. Deffinately worth the time.

FROTHINGSLOSH (6485) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 13, 2006
This is a rather nice IPA. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a chestnut color with a large tan head. There is a strong fruity hop aroma. The flavor is strong sweet malts with a strong fruity hop presence and a light floral hop element. The body is rather thick. The hops linger on the palate very pleasantly with nice sweet malts. Very good.

Bottle. Pours reddish gold with creamy white head. The aroma is pineapple hops and a touch of malty sweetness. The flavor is mostly bitter piney hops, but there is sufficient sweet malt backbone to hold it up. Not too bad.

Bottled. Pours a Light golden/reddish color. Aroma is somewhat hoppy and floral. A little sticky. Bitter right up front with a hint of sweetness. What can I say? All of the classic hoppy IPA qualities are there. Nice bitter IPA. Lingering bitter finish.

NosirIwont (2293) - Frederikssund, DENMARK - JAN 11, 2006
Bottle. Pours a beautiful golden amber with a smooth off-white head. Nice sweetish citrus and apple hop aroma. Flavour presents hops at first and then the bitterness kicks in, followed by a smooth maltiness with faint licorice notes. Bitter and dryish finish with remote apple notes. Nice! 12-01-06.

Nice copper/orange pour. Strong hops flavor, above average IPA. But for the money I would go with Stone or Dogfish Head.
