4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a nice IPA, but it isnít great. Itís easy to drink, oily but not biting on the palate and it has a great piny hop aroma. It finishes slightly acidic with a bit of malt caramel sweetness. It just doesnít have a hefty enough flavor to be great. Still very good.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Lovely caramel-amber pour with a well-retained clingy white head. Quite a thorough lacing on the glass as this went down. Very pleasant and decently strong aroma of pine forest and grapefruit. Somewhat oily and slick across the palate, with a tacky, bitter caramel finish. Flavors followed the aroma well, but the bitterness was a tad too abrupt toward the back of the mouth. Good IPA.. but not a great IPA.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice, thick long lasting lace that just clings. Piney, flowery hops nose light to medium. Bubbles run slow and swirl is pretty thick. Pretty rich and creamy, long lingering hop finish. Decently balanced.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Orangey ambery pour. Huge piney and citrus (but not too rindy) aroma. Good hopy flavors, with a decent backing of sweet caramel malts, and an undertone of biscuit. Good bitter finish, and a decent mouthfeel. Very well done IPA.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks to chilehead for this bottle. Nice orange-gold appearance, aroma is enticing citrus and pine. Orange caramel sweetness, quite malty and then finishes bitter and dry. A very good IPA, would have again but not really available on the west coast.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Nice light amber pour with a fluffy eggshell white head that actually lasted through the entire glass. Of course, the aroma is of piney hops with a little bit of malt in the background. A whole truckload of hops in the taste as well. Not as íin your faceí as their hercules... I find it more drinkable and the finish is a lot slicker and not distracting. Probably close to the best non-double IPA Iíve had. I like Rogues 2IPA... but man... this is good. And I dig the bottle art. Fantastic IPA.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Wow did I love this. Poured a nice golden almost amber hue, thick white head. Once disappointing trait was that the head faded by mid glass. Wonderful piney cascade aroma and liberty or chinook? in the bittering. Great balanced taste yet definitely a hopmeister. Not clear for me though, like SNPA but somewhat cloudy. Wonderful nonetheless. A definite addition to my usual rotation.

I loved this beer, it is like the baby brother to hercules, they both have very similar flavor profiles. I love the piney hop flavor, could it be chinook and cascade in the hops? They say their is a malty sweetness to balance the hops, couldnt find it personally. But I LOVE hops. Not a beer for everyone but I LOVE hops, did I already say that?

Something about the nose bothers me. Iím doing an all IPA finish to my first 100 on ratebeer.com so perahps Iíll have a better idea about what the problem is when Iím done.
The beer is a bit hazy in the glass. It has a nice short head and some lacing. The bitter finish is totally wonderful. You get a little hint of sweet and then the bitter kicks in. A nice summer drink.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
UPDATED: SEP 11, 2005 We have been getting the impressive line of the bigger Great Divide beers in Georgia for a few months now, and the regular strength beers have finally followed them. The first of these I am sampling is the Titan IPA.
The brown bottle concealed an amber colored, clear beer, which formed a perfectly proportioned eggshell white head after pouring in a pint glass, and displayed active carbonation action. The aroma was aggressively hoppy, with an unabashed scent of pine, spruce, and grapefruit. Taste was also quite mission specific, with peppery, bitter, resinous hop flavors held up with just enough biscuity caramel malt. When the hop profile is so good, who needs balance? Near perfect exhibit of all the good things that makes me crave an American IPA so frequently. Seek out eagerly if you even remotely enjoy hoppy beers.
